Tom Izzo and his cronies on upset alert versus Anthony Parker's alma mater.
That Henry kid missed that dunk. If he thought his ass chewing at the 11 minute mark was bad, if they lose this game, holy fuck.

Murray State and Marquette has the makings of being the best game of the first round, and we've already had a few good ones.

Ja Morant vs. Markus Howard, already fun to watch.

I've lost two games so far, both upset bids (#12 New Mexico State & #11 Belmont) by a combined three points.

March pisses me off so much.

If this Seton Hall/Wofford game holds to form, and Baylor ends up losing to Syracuse, this could round out my worst opening day in recent memory.

It could be really topped off if one of my final four teams (Purdue), gets knocked out by Old Dominion, but they pulled away to end the half and look to be safe now.

I've lost so many heartbreakers already. New Mexico State, Belmont, Nevada (who I had winning against Michigan too), Saint Mary's...

Plus I picked against Ja Morant, which was stupid of me. Really need Baylor to pull this out since Seton Hall is down 13 as of me posting this, so that looks like an L as well.

Anybody have a good bracket so far?

I lost Nevada as an E8 team. Got that and Minny/Louisville game incorrect but only had L'ville winning one so doesn't hurt me as much. Within striking distance of both my pools so hope is there. Today should better.

Girlfriend, on the other hand, who doesn't watch basketball and really only picks if she has vaguely heard of the school only lost Syracuse/Baylor yesterday. Heard me talking about Ja a few times so she remembered Murray St.

That's the way to go man. Pick like a girl. Pick like you have no prior knowledge because in March, its useless.

Good luck gentlemen!

Go Heels!

Let me clarify she has family that went to Syracuse so she went with loyalty over thinking. Wofford is a school in SC that local schools here in NC play all the time so she has heard of it. Minnesota she thinks gophers are cute and knows Louisville got into trouble.

Ugh. Her logic is so much better than how a team is preforming during conference tourneys or the talent a team has, how it plays.

We lost our starting pg (Purdue) and best defender. He returned to the game in the 2nd half, but looked very gimpy. We really need him to guard Booth, so I hope he can give it a strong go against Villanova.

Did good the first day. Only missed Wofford over Setan Hall. Did a bracket on Yahoo and another with a pool for $5. My Final 4 : Gonzaga, Duke, Tennessee and North Carolina. Then for the upsets: Gonzaga over Duke; Tennessee over NC. Gonzaga winning it all. Its what ya call a shot in the dark for someone who did not watch 10 minutes of college basketball this year.

Surviving so far. Not a great percentage at the moment but none of my incorrect picks were into the Sweet 16.

Has any conference had 8 wins or gone 8-0 in the first round?

Wisconsin and heavy underdog OSU to go.
