2019 NFL Draft: Day 2 Discussion

There's nothing that appealing about banging a bunch of skanks.

Does the LDS consider it cheating if you go motor boating occasionally?

If you wear the magic underwear during sex, does it prevent STDs? Also, if your infant is in the magic underwear, do you still need to vax?

I can’t believe how deep the safety group is in this draft. Some really good players still on the board here in Day 3.

This is a good time for the Browns to trade up, if they plan to go safety depth. I said it yesterday, but I believe CGJ and Hooker are every bit as good a strong safety prospect as Peppers was entering the NFL. They are both better in ball tracking and reading coverage assignments in zone already.

I agree. Especially with having 5 picks today, we can afford to wheel and deal at the flea market.

I’m a huge Amani Hooker fan. I don’t know how I ended up watching so much damn Iowa football, but I think he has the tools to lock down our strong safety spot for 10 years.

I also want to say that I’m impressed with what the Redskins have been able to do.

Patiently letting Haskins fall to them.

Trading up for Montez Sweat—a top ten talent in this draft.

Getting Terry McLaurin with the 13th pick in the 3rd round, reuniting him with his QB.

Trading a late third to grab two 4th’s.

The ‘Skins have 7 picks today, including two 4th’s and two 5th’s. They could end up being the big draft weekend winners.

That’s not something you’d say about Dan Snyder’s team often.

Washington has quite the respectable amount of defensive talent; we’ve seen how a confident thrower can change the landscape of an offense. Add a guy with whom he’s familiar and a damn talented prospect in his own right and they just might have a stew. If Wentz doesn’t get back on his feet Haskins might ascend to being the best in the division which means prime time games for the nfc east aren’t going anywhere.

Fuck.

Browns got #46 using #49 and #144. They received a draft value of 440 for a cost of 443.6 That math works out pretty well.

Patriots got #45 using #56 and #101. Using the JJ draft calculator, they received draft value of 450 for a cost of 436.

The trades make more sense using the FP draft value chart. http://www.footballperspective.com/draft-value-chart/

New England traded #56 ( 9.0 value ) and #101 ( 5.2 value) for #45 ( 10.4 value ) which is 3.8 over pay. The chart says that NE's offer was equal to the 26th pick

Cleveland traded #49 ( 9.8 value ) and #144 ( 3.0 value) for #46 ( 10.2 value ) which is 2.6 over pay. In theory, a 7th round pick should have been enough to trade up three spots 49, but GM's are people, not spreadsheets and trading up is expensive. It's why Sashi was so willing to trade down all the time. The chart says that Cleveland's offer was equal to the 31th pick. If the Browns considered Greedy to be first round talent, then it probably seemed like an acceptable price.

So the Rams theoretically got more value from New England and both teams overpaid, but both the Browns and the Patriots got the players that fit their systems, so whatever, All good. It's all a wash I guess other than the change in the rookie contract

I'm just so excited I'll leave this here.

If Browns win a superbowl, just one superbowl, Dorsey Statue > LeBron statue

Honestly it will be a statue of Baker, he will get the credit, but yes, Browns over anyone else. This is Cleveland.
