2019 NFL Regular Season Thread

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
I'm sure those will be coming soon. Should have drafted Lamar over Baker takes. Fans will start making them too.

I'm the first to admit I'm stunned Lamar is playing this well, and never in a billion years saw it coming..

And I don't think it will last remotely.

I don't think you can turn someone into a QB. And I still don't believe he really is one.

I'm more so annoyed.
Fact he found a weapon in Hollywood Brown is even more annoying to me.

Very well could run rough shot over a struggling division atm.

The penalties are making the game unwatchable. Maybe I just sound like the basic fan but seriously I can’t do it.

Penalties and review are making the game just shit.

It used to be long TD plays where you held your breath looking for flags.

Now it feels like it is every play and half the time it is bullshit holding calls. There is holding on every play. They should scale back calling it in only truly egregious examples.

Both these teams just suck. Boring game.

It's still early.
We don't know how the Browns are going to look like quite yet.

I think the Ravens, Patriots, and Chiefs are your early super bowl contenders.

And I fucking hate typing that sentence (i'm "fine" with the chiefs, but the other two...ugh)

I don't buy the Ravens at all as a SB contender. They barely beat the Cardinals, who suck, and struggled against a rookie QB. Their defense doesn't look quite the same. That's what is being missed about the Ravens.

They're not out gunning teams to wins on a regular basis, its not happening.

And all it takes is an actual real coach. Not jokers on the Cardinals and Dolphins, to put an end to this Jackson experiment once and for all. Like a Bill Belichick. Don't think a master piece like him, with a real elite defense for the first time in ages, can't completely fuck Jackson's shit up.

The Pats defense hasn't looked this good since '07. Maybe beyond that. That's scary for me. Way more than their offense. Give Belichick talent on defense, and an offense led by Brady. They got to be by far and away the top team at the moment.

It's early. Teams I'm taking very serious right now, and this is subject to change. Patriots (duh), Chiefs, Saints (as long as is Brees is healthy), and Cowboys (they look good).

You got to give up to Dak, he's playing like a pro bowl QB. Cowboys look good.

I take nothing out of the Saints losing today. Brees went out, and it deflated the team. Saints are fucked though if Brees is out for an extended time. Every thing feeds off him.

I hate Boston as a whole...but man...just seeing what Brady and Belichick are accomplishing right now? Only comparable to the Browns under Paul Brown. Incredible.

I imagine the opponents indeed matter with the Ravens.
But winning games you're supposed to win is never a bad thing.

Well right now they are a contender.. the only reason they beat Arizona is thier defensive line got to Murray, and thier O line protected Jackson.. Murray got hit nine times, Jackson twice..

In the Titans game, Baker got sacked 5 times...

I hope we get our shit together tonight. Jets are wounded, but we can't sleep on them.

I don't remember there being as many injuries in 1 week....ever.

Baseball - year of the long ball
Football - year of the injury

That sucks Brees is out 6 weeks. I figured it might be worse though. Like 8-10 weeks, basically most the season.

I don't even give a shit about fat Ben. They weren't going anywhere with him. He looked pretty bad.

I am not counting the Saints out of it just yet. Bridgewater isn't BAD. If they can go 3-3, they're still in this.

Drew Brees out 6 weeks. Wow.

That's actually about what I though and pretty good. He couldn't grip a football, that is never good.

But if they go 3-3 with Teddy, NOLA still a contender when Brees gets back.

I almost never root for injuries, even divisional rivals.....but fuck the rapist.

This may basically save Tomlin's job security (which is good for us,) now that expectations are minimal.

The standard is the standard my ass!
