Well we have seen enough of Kip for 2 years

Kip still in the two hole is mind boggling. Max Morrof still availablre?

Remember when Kipnis was providing league average play at 2B for top 5 money?

Mike Clevinger's girlfriend/ex-girlfriend is ripping Clev on Twitter right now. Not sure the full story.

Was Game of Thrones night at the park tonight. Big Iron Throne for everyone to take pics, line was too long. Cold, no one was there. Happy to hear Mercado is up, these guys are lifeless out there.

Guaranteed rate field is trash anyway

Team is dumpster trash.

2-28, the only 2 hits came from Lindor. Jose is batting 5th now, his bat is very much dead. Kipnis, Cargo, dead bat Jose, the middle of the order is awful. Especially now with Santana coming down to earth from his scorching start, that's when a guy like Jose is supposed to get scorching hot.

It's hell.

They will turn it around at the end of the season, they always do and will with this coach and squad, but we need some reinforcements sooner rather than later. I actually wouldn't be against going now and getting a bat like EE to put in the middle of the lineup and reshuffling it.

Didn't the Indians get rid of EE to cut payroll? Bringing him back in May doesn't really make sense from that perspective unless Seattle is going to eat the bulk of his contract, but why would they do that?

Because after an unexpected hot start (13-4 on April 13), they are the trending towards the team everyone expected (8-19 since) and figure to be out of contention come July. They are in the midst of a rebuild and would seemingly be willing to eat salary in a "lost year" to get back a prospect. They already showed a willingness to do it in their trade with the Mets.

But I do think it is complicated. Edwin's prorated salary at the deadline will be ~$10m + his $5m buyout. How much of that are the Indians willing to pay? The more $ the Mariners eat, the better the prospect they will require. Is that worth it for 2-1/2 months of a player? How much better does that make the Indians' lineup?

Also, for what it is worth, I believe Tampa Bay is already paying for $5m of his salary.

Less than 0 chance they would, obviously.
