I've been said it, Ed Monix must've missed it, I'd take 4-2 vs two first place ball clubs every day. It can build something. We're not sweeping them!

I mean, the only guy left was Josh Smith. They needed to stick with Perez there. They were up a creek with Bieber getting knocked in the 2nd, and having a short notice bullpen game just a few days ago.

Hand had actually already pitched 4 times in 5 days, and the pitch count is less of a concern than everything else that actually goes into pitching on a given day. There's no way Hand should have been available or used in this game.
