He'd probably be behind Brandon Lowe and Daniel Vogelbach, and potentially Yordan Alvarez, if the season ended right now.
He's been good. Just not ROY frontrunner. He's got a chance though, if Lowe and Vogelbach continue to struggle and Alvarez see's his PT dwindle a bit as the Astros get healthier.

Yeah, Alvarez as of now seems to me to be the frontrunner. He is a machine.

No way. Too small of a sample to be the frontrunner.
He does the same thing for 60+ more games? Sure. But right now it's Brandon Lowe, a gap, Vogelbach, a gap, then a mix of Mercado, Alvarez, and a couple others.

You are correct. I guess it seems like he has been up longer to me than he actually has.
