Because none of us, to my knowledge, are privy to the dynamics inside the clubhouse, it’s difficult to determine how much of an overall impact Tito has on it. Having said that, he has never lost the clubhouse in his seven seasons as the team’s manager and his loyalty to the veterans is understandably appreciated by them.
Regarding in-game strategy and maximizing the roster, Tito is severely flawed, as far as I’m concerned, with this season in particular consisting of his most baffling decisions. Someone very credible, who a lot of you here are likely familiar with, told me that he heard a rumor that Tito supposedly has a separate agreement with ownership that he ultimately gets the final say on certain issues. Who knows if that’s actually the case, but I’m now of the mind set that while Tito shouldn’t be fired anytime soon, a more open minded and savvy tactician in the dugout would ultimately behoove the franchise.
