I don't get the Klay love on this forum.

At all.

Do you people not remember his press conferences in 2015 and 2016 (and plenty of other douchey behavior after that)?

Oh I hate him. I don't like seeing someone cut down in their prime with serious career threatening injuries tho. I would have liked seeing them get beat in this iteration rather than ravaged by injuries. Wish we could have seen Curry attempt and fail at carrying the team last year for instance. Pressure sure is on him this year now.

I love his game, I don't take the competition part as personal as most do. Klay is very under appreciated, ridiculous shooter, good passer and a top 5 wing defender in my opinion. I love basketball, Cavs #1 of course, but basketball in general and Klay is a phenomenal player and very good friends with Kevin Love too as it happens.

I’m really curious to see what Miami does in FA. I’m sure they’ll keep themselves in position to be able to sign a max guy next offseason, but there are some pretty interesting players out there for them. Nunn was their starter at PG last year, but they were a better team with Dragic. VanVleet would make a lot of sense there. It will also be interesting to see if maybe they start Precious next to Bam. VanVleet, Butler, Robinson, Precious, and Bam with Nunn, Herro, Iggy, Olynyk, and others off the bench is a tough, versatile team.

So we'd potentially be going for what, title 3 or 4 this season had Kyrie stayed?

Yeah, or if we had made that rumored Kyrie for Brogdan and Middleton trade. We’d be paying out the ass for it, but a Brogdan, Middleton, LBJ, Love, TT lineup would still be destroying the East and likely the league at this point in time. ”Small ball” lineup with TT out and another guard would have been one of the greatest offensive teams in league history. GSW flat out wouldn’t have been able to guard the P&R with that roster. Too many potential mismatches, and any of the perimeter players could have made Steph pay.

Kyrie would have played in how many of those series though?

He’s my #1 hated Warrior. I’ll never forget how he talked smack about LBJ and then in Game 6 when we were beating them he walked off the court (like a little bi** ) and down the tunnel with a whole minute left in the game!

Warriors already get their Klay replacement

Oubre Jr is a nice player but he is not a clay replacement or even close. Not as good of a passer, defender or even same stratosphere of a shooter.

I think we have to shake the idea of thinking the Warriors are going to attempt to play how they have the past 6-8 years. I have no idea what it’s going to look like, but even with the drafting of Wiseman they were going to have to alter how they played to make use of him.

I’m interested to see if they try to move Wiggins. They’re going to have to attach that Minny pick and/or Green to get someone to bite. If they could figure out how to dump Green and Wiggins for pure expirings, they could potentially have around $25-$30 mill in cap space. Not very likely to happen and would likely require 3 teams to make it work.

They might need to attach a pick to dump Draymond. He is about to become an albatross

The warriors sold their soul to the devil to add coward KD onto their roster. The ended up winning 2 cheap rings that no one respects before the devil came to break up their core, end their entire dynasty, and collect his soul. The warriors, who previously were the luckiest team in the NBA with injuries (2015, 2017) were suddenly hit with massive injuries to 2 star players in the 2019 finals against a weak opponent, costing them the finals while KD tears his achilles and then leaves. Klay tears his ACL and misses the 2020 season. Curry then injuries his hand, milks his injury to sit out most of the 2020 season just as he was being exposed as overrated without his all star cast while the warriors struggled. Now Klay is hit with a career killing injury costing him next season. When he returns he will probably be a shell of his former self just like with KD. Klay also has 4 more years on his max deal, crippling the warrior's future even more. Oh and they have to pay around 80 in luxury tax this season for a team that at best will make the second round and at worst miss the playoffs.

I don't wish injuries on anyone, though I am enjoying the destruction of the warrior's dynasty. Now the only thing left to happen is for Green to be traded to some garbage team, get pissed about it and bash the warriors, and play out the rest of his career in irrelevance. The way their injury luck turned into an injury curse watch Curry return back to his injury prone days like he was prior to their title runs.
