2021 NBA Offseason Thread

Eastern Conference suddenly has some pretty good depth.

With the Cavs, Knicks, and Hawks looking like competent teams again, there is quite a bit of parity, especially among teams ranked about 5-12

I give Ainge more credit than most: picking Tatum (trading down) and Brown who weren't obvious choices. They are set for 5-10 years as having two dominant 2 way wings is basically an ideal setup for the modern NBA.

Irving was a great trade too because no one realized how much of a headcase he was but after that not sure what he's been doing with the center or PG spot. A big like Ibaka, Wood, or not pulling the trigger on Turner seems really stupid. Any of those 3 guys would have pushed them into the top tier of contenders.
OTOH moving for Walker instead of trading for a Jrue HOliday type also doesn't make sense. He got the foundation right but can't find the right frosting

Yep Brown is an absolute beast and is the best player taken in his draft class. Boston may not get over the hump but they are going to be a contender for 5+ years depending on health

I see that Sekou Smith just passed away at 48 yrs old. From Covid I guess.
I liked him as one of my favorite NBA tv hosts on NBA TV. He had a nice way about himself and was just good at what he did. He was kind of funny and so enthusiastic about basketball. May he RIP.

WTF Los... one of your worst ones yet.

I think Edwards has has the most 2/14 games of any player I have watched in my life time and he is only a rookie.

He may as well turn out good, but he has been horrid this season.

Boy is shooting a putrid 35% for the season. D Wade had an incredibly efficient rookie season, was a great defender out of the gate and doubled Edwards assists and rebounds
