I’d rather try Mo Wagner.

Jabari Parker is worthless.

Maybe it’s just me, but I’d be tempted to sign Wagner and give him Wade’s minutes. He was in a crap situation in Washington and wasn’t playing much.

Here he’d have Nance and Love to learn from. That being said, I don’t think he’d sign here as Love, Nance, and Prince have returned. He’s not going to get many minutes. He needs to go somewhere where he has an opportunity to actually play.

SMH!!! For his career he averaged almost 15 points, 6 rebounds and 3 assists and shot 49% from the field.....and he’s worthless???? I understand he never lived up to his draft status but that had nothing to do with skills/talent. Injuries hurt his career! And like I said he would give us more on the court than our current depth chart of Cedi, Windler,Prince, Thomas and Stevens!

He actively made his teams worse putting up numbers. He's an iso-4 who can't defend anyone, can't stretch the floor, and needs the ball. He is worse old man Melo...which says a lot since Anthony is one of the worst rotation players on a playoff team this year

Yeah, man. He’s worthless. Injuries destroyed him. You’ve already admitted you haven’t watched him play in a while. Why are you fighting so hard on this?

I’m not fighting anything hard but I’m willing to look at anybody that’s better than what we currently have. He must not be THAT bad if he’s still getting two year deals from teams like Boston....they must see something in him you don’t. And again he’s way better than the players I mentioned (and none of them are exactly defensive stoppers either)

Is he better than people we have though? He's certainly worse than our main front court players (Love, LNJ, Allen, even Hart). You could argue hes better than Wade or Stevens. You would be wrong, but even if he was better than those guys, I would rather take a flier on young players improving and potentially being valuable rotation guys/trade chips than wasting a roster spot on a below replacement level old guy.

Would you rather have Kabengele or Whiteside? For the Cavs the answer should be Kabengele every time.

I really don’t think he is any better. Lamar Stevens just got like a 4-year deal, right?

Teams throw around these little contracts.

A two-year deal would be for the remainder of this season and next season, no? Not really that big of a stretch. Haven’t seen any numbers released yet. Wouldn’t be shocked if they signed him for the vet min or if the 2nd year of his contract is non-guaranteed.

Stevens I’ll give you but the others are no better than him and I believe he would bring more to the table than them.....but my point is you bring in players that can improve your team. Boston has way more talent than we do yet they thought enough to bring him in. No way he couldn’t help our roster.

Boston's front court is hot shit though. They have the ghost of TT and then...Semi Ojeyle playing center? Its bad.

As somebody who has actually watched him play over the last few years, I can tell you he wouldn’t help.

He’s definitely not a wing either, so comparing him to our SG/SF rotation isn’t a useful exercise.

Tatum mostly plays the 4, and Timelord is a stud.
I honestly forgot they had Timelord. If he can play extended minutes he is going to be such a valuable piece.

As for Jabari, whatever he could've been ended with his injuries. Even at his peak, he was worse Melo.

As for the general point of getting more talent on the roster, I would love to do that but throwing away money at a 28 year old does not make sense for where we are in the rebuild. If you can somehow get a 22 year old with talent and some upside, you go for it. Kind of like when the Cavs traded for their backup center...

Have been a Timelord fan since he was in college.

He’s been playing great in the starting lineup since they cut Theis.

Just to add to this, he’s only played in 3 games this season and only 38 last year. He’s also a really bad three point shooter, has a high usage rate, and isn’t a good defender. Ultimately, he’s an inefficient player who needs the ball in his hand to do anything.

It will be interesting to see what the Celtics do with him, especially since he has had lingering injury problems. I’m not sure how Parker will help them much this season in particular.
