Because Rich Paul only serves Lebron. All other clients are an after thought if Lebron is reaping the benefit. He also will leverage that relationship to garner higher offers so that when Lebron is a FA they get a seat at the table or to "please Lebron" (Tristan, AD, JR, KCP, etc). I don't think a single contract he's negotiated has ever benefitted a team in the long run. I know what is job is but things have gone horribly wrong for them. Once Lebron is done, AD will come to realize he alone is not a championship caliber player....so will everyone else & Rich will finally go back to selling jerseys.

Rich's days of selling jerseys are over. I am not at all a fan of how Paul uses his leverage, but when LBJ is gone there won't be any more claims that is the only person Paul serves. Which means his other players will get more "service" from him and have less cause to complain.

Anyway, AD did get a ring in L.A., and for all we know, he's the one who wanted that long-term deal.

Chauncey Billups, you mean the guy who ghosted Gilbert a few years ago?

Was that even in this Century?

OKC lost narrowly to Sac.

It's all about subtle tanking now. Keep the games close, but lose.

C'mon, Minnesota!

Need them to win another couple games.

As much as we clown the Cavs for being an inconsistent org, I am happy we aren't dealing with the shit the Pacers have going on right now. Their new coach is apparently impossible to work with and might be out by the end of the year. Their 2nd best wing demanded a trade as soon as he heard that guy was getting hired. And an assistant just got suspended a game for yelling at Goga (who was also fined).

Would be a good opportunity to grab some players on the cheap if they blow it up too...say McConnell or Justin Holiday

The Lakers are 5-9 since acquiring Drummond and proabbly gonna be 5-10 after tonight.

So, ya know. He's gonna get the MLE this summer. Maaybe a tad bit more. But I struggle seeing anyone offering that man 15 million a year even.

of course, who knows if the Lakers would have been 0-14 without him. They are looking baaaad.

They could turn it around, if not this year then next, but they staked their future on a 36 year old and a guy with a long history of significant injuries...

I remember when the Pacers were the team to emulate.... I would really want either McConnell or Holiday from them if possible.
Nate McMillan made them respectable, they told him to kick rocks. Goes to Atlanta, does the same thing.

as for the Lakers... I have been laughing my ass off watching Lakers fans talk about Drummond. same exact things Cavs fans were saying before he was shut down. Gasol is better. Feeding Drummond the ball regardless of teams is just a L. Make him play like a center.
