2020-2021 Cavs Season General Discussion

Do Not Sell My Personal Information

Inside Andre Drummond's Cleveland Escape, Failed Trades and Buyout Recruitment

By all accounts, Cavs general manager Koby Altman's front office had little inkling Jarrett Allen would become available to them at the start of this calendar year.

Just not sure why Altman didn’t try to trade Drummond earlier on instead of benching. Just terrible.

Nobody wanted him then either.

If,fans could see the bullshit from Drummond, why wouldn't a GM see it. I'm not giving up a 2nd rounder for a player that thinks he's a point guard...It makes perfect sense to wait til he's brought out yet fans want to act like Koby sat on his ass and not try to trade him..

I’m not taking this too seriously because Sam has obviously had an axe to grind with the org all year. If we hear this from other Cavs sources though, I’ll be concerned. Especially the stuff about Garland. Thanks for sharing.
If there is any truth about the Garland thing (hard to validate anything that BSW says) then it sours me more on him... One of the reasons of the Cavs not winning more is his play, he is still inconsistent, inefficient and lacks defense... He should be unhappy of his play first

Garland clearly is in the structural camp in turn of style. While Sexton is in the up tempo free style. It's the nature of the rebuild at this point. Hopefully by this time next year, things are a little more clear and it may not be what we expect.

I am just glad Delly and Kevin are back on the court. I think they will have a positive impact on Garland, Okoro and Windler. Especially the latter two.

Windler didn’t even get garbage time minutes tonight.

I heard on the pregame show that he was doubtful tonight with some sort of minor injury. Could just be them saving face, but something to keep in mind.

I’m in Philly so I didn’t hear that. Thanks. Although he’s doubtful even if he’s perfectly healthy.

That game tonight was just a severe lack of talent.

With Allen and Nance out, and Love playing only 20 minutes, the Cavs have exactly one bench guy worthy of being a regular in an NBA rotation, and that's Wade.

The Sixers have a good 4 dudes off the bench who can contribute in almost any rotation: Dwight, Milton, Maxwell, Korkmaz.

With Wade starting, the Cavs had zero solid bench players to role with. Osman, Prince, Hartenstein, Stevens....it's a dumpster fire.

I hope they can keep the young kids believing in playing the right way. I saw good things tonight. But if they keep getting plastered because the rotation players are dreadful...I worry about them reverting.

Just a brutal summary. But I pretty much agree 100%

I thought team played well in first half with lots of ball movement on and off the ball. In the second half went to bad habits and 1 on 5 and many turnovers.

Can someone explain to me why this team always have an issue in the third quarter. This been an issue since Lebron came back the second time. I just don't understand it at all.

Teams make adjustments at halftime and the Cavs are young and can be easily disrupted by defensive adjustments. It is specifically because they have good 2nd quarters so often.

Could be JB being too slow to counter in the 3rd, but routinely the Cavs try stuff in the 3rd that was working in the 1st half, and the other team won't allow it.

I used to get sooooooo angry when 1st era Lebron Cavs would play the Celtics. They would routinely be up in the first half only to look like they were falling apart in the 3rd. It was Doc, but probably actually Ty Lue, making adjustments like the kind we saw him routinely make in the playoffs to make the Raptors and Hawks go insane.

It sucks, but it isn't really surprising that the best team in the east is capable of that. Even so, Darius and Sexton got lots of shots to shooters who couldn't hit them in the 2nd half.

Clearly, we need Kevin Love to sit in the First Half, saving him for quarters 3 and 4.
