2020-2021 Cavs Season General Discussion

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
cavs are idiots.. they move on too quick. the whole league is full of questionable behavior and connections. remember how they had to get rid of Ron Harper... same deal here with KPJr. got forbid we have a young black man on our team that likes guns, weed and hoes. That's the whole darn league fools....

After KPJ's 50-10 game, a friend told me that "it feels like my ex has just been crowned Miss Universe"

But, anyway, we don't control the FO. Koby might be overly sensitive to personal insults and the reports say that KPJ had a mouthful for Koby, too. Hang on to the phrases like, "He will be out of this league sooner than later", "It's sunk cost, and time to move on", "He would have been a cancer to the Cavs' locker room", or whatever comfort-phrase you like!

We were never gonna push for play-offs this year, and the injuries helped. With a little luck in the draft lottery, and prudence from the FO, we may be good next year (yeah, "next year" is another comfort-phrase!).

Look at the bright side - the Wolves won last night.

If Cavs are trying to build a culture how does porter fit in. As talented as he is you can’t build around him. You 100% he will not get in serious trouble in the off season ?

KP's a talent, no doubt.. and he fit in the traditional sense of roster make-up..

Anyway, maybe he gets to be this generation of Cavs fans' Ron Harper. If so, I feel bad for you all.. because I'm still salty about the Harp deal.

In additi9n to the KPJ and Around the NBA threads there are also Koby Altman threads.

KPJ is not part of the Cavaliers anymore.

He may, or may not. I think it's a moot point at this juncture. There is no looking back, and we have to move on.

I have no way of knowing what the FO is up to, but I feel that they might be as clueless as we are. We have the pieces to aim for the play-in tourney next season, but there has to be stability. Uncertainty, and constant tinkering with the roster, do not help. Like the fans here, I believe the FO is also uncertain who to build around and what to do with Love.

This lottery might be a defining one for the Cavs.

Don't look now, but the Cavs are only 2.5 games back from the 2nd best lottery odds with 10 games to go and a brutal May schedule.

Not this season, but if we go through the next with long spells of him not being able to play.... Al Horford time.
I was not happy when I heard his response about the incident last week being simply over reacting or whatever. I was hoping he would admit he had enough was moving on to another career as a punching bag or a crash test dummy, but no he decided to keep getting paid for doing nothing

They gave up FOUR second round picks for KPJ. They weren't going to the playoffs this year. After his food throwing, screaming tantrum they should have suspended him for conduct detrimental and told him he couldn't return until he graduated from an anger management program.

I get that they're all about culture building but this guy was supposed to be one of their building blocks. Maybe he ends up in jail in a couple of months, but I wish the Cavs had found a way to give him more time to wrestle his demons without infecting the culture they're building.

With a good shot at one of the eightish good to great players in this years draft, the growth of our young guys like Garland and Sexton, the potential of our younger guy in Okoro, and the scrubs who are at least G league level, this team looks to have a bright future. I am really excited to see how they close out this season and where they will end up next year.

The culture peaked right around the same time KPJ stuff went down. I wouldn't say the culture is any better today that most of the last 2.5 years.

The culture has never been better. We just brought back the Wild Thing!!!

Big win by Orlando.

MIN almost won again.

Things are looking good in Lottoland. I think it likely Cavs end up at 3rd worst record. Maybe 2nd.

MIN has been hot. ORL has been winning games. I figure OKC is going to win another couple games.

It sucks that the Cavs have nose-dived. But not really their fault when they've had so many injury issues. They are not tanking, like the shameless Thunder. They're a young team with an incomplete roster who haven't had their starters together more than a handful of times together all year.

CLE/OKC 21 wins
MIN/ORL 20 wins
DET 19 wins
HOU 16 wins

Cavs are now 1 loss from 4th lottery slot, 2 Ls from 3rd.

Not much difference in odds for #1 pick, but falling to 3rd worst record puts their
odds the same as top 2 losers for the #1 pick.

Every % gained is good.
