2020-2021 Cavs Season General Discussion

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
What an insanely idiotic win this late in the season. Makes literally zero sense.

When the Cavs drop to 7-8 in the lottery hope y’all remember this stupid ass victory.
If you need a positive, the Cavs desperately needed Love to have a game like that tonight if there’s any hope of finding someone willing to trade for him despite his contract.

One game isn't going to change how other NBA teams view Love. If we want to get anything for him, he is going have to show he can stay healthy and play well up to the deadline next year. Half a season of good play might make someone come calling for him.

It's statistically improbable losing out. Other teams have bad nights and Boston has so severely bled talent the past couple years.

The Celtics have alot of potential talent but I think Brad Steven's system is so good at getting mediocre talent to play well in the rotations that they can't develops some of the better talent guys. Robert Williams, Carson Edwards, Nesmith, and Langford are all guys the Cavs would give heavy minutes to develop if they were on our team.

For the Celtics, all those guys need minutes to develop but it will cost them wins and they haven't been able to balance the two.

I think the Celtics will come to the conclusion that they have to sell of some of those young guys and get some vets back that are in the same timeline as Tatum and Brown.

Any chance we can pawn off a really used Kevin love

It’s incredible every other lottery bound team are sitting key players or rest or injuries yet we continue to play like we are in the running for a playoff spot!!! WTF??
Can’t we even lose right????
Other lotto teams have injured players out.
Just as we had Nance, Garland, and Hartenstein, amongst others, out.

These other teams you speak of(Orlando, Detroit, Minnesota) have all won MORE games in the past 10 games than the Cavs, even after tonights win.

Boston was missing their 2nd, 3rd, and 4th best players(Brown, Kemba, and Smart)

Short of walking off the court and forgetting, there was a unfortunately decent chance of winning tonight no matter which of the healthy players we played.

With that incredibly intelligent win the Cavs now can technically slide to 9th in the lottery (worst case scenario).

We now have around a 40% chance to be in the top 4 picks

We also have around a 45% chance to be the 6th or 7th pick

And we have 0% chance of making the playoffs

Just a tremendous job by our front office here.

What was Altman supposed to do? Break Okoro's legs "Misery" style during warm ups? NBA players don't walk on a court trying to lose unless they've got a gambler into them deep

Sexton and Love were both asked about it. The players don't know anything about odds or even their standing if they aren't in the playoffs.

Love shouldn't even be playing at this point. Look at what the Thunder did with Al Horford - shut him down for the season to give young guys minutes. But that's comparing one of the most competent franchises in the league (especially when it comes to a rebuild) with one of the most incompetent.

I'm fine with playing Okoro as he is a rookie, he needs all the experience he can get.... but Love? That's just stupidity on the Cavs end. Should have shut him down with some minor "injury" (one that he has basically all the time anyway).

Winning now is silly and actually hurts your future outlook more so than it helps it.
