Former Alabama QB Taulia Tagovailoa confirms he is transferring to Maryland
The sophomore quarterback, who is the younger brother of Miami's first-round draft pick Tua Tagovailoa, announced on Friday that he will be continuing his academic and athletic journey at the University of Maryland. "I'm grateful to Coach Locksley & the staff for giving me this opportunity," he said. "I can't wait to get to College Park."

Quarterback Taulia Tagovailoa, who appeared in five games for Alabama as a freshman in 2019, is transferring to Maryland. He'll have three years of eligibility remaining with the Terrapins.

Dude has absolutely insane high school numbers. But he of course didn't play at Bama, so let's see how great he is once he is under center from the start.

A couple ways of looking at this:

1. His last name doesn't mean shit. Again, let's see how he does when he is QB1.
2. If he is a beast - I am actually perfectly fine with that b/c that only strengthens another B1G team and will finally bring some national attention to Maryland FOOTBALL in the B1G.

Maryland has put up a record of 28-46 since joining the B1G, 2 bowl appearances (both L's) and has only been ranked once (AP 21st) last year week 3 because they absolutely whipped Syracuse's ass who was #21, then ended up losing to Temple, then a 59-0 to PSU.

Bring him on!

Well, in the last couple of years he has staked out and placed a recruiting wall around a hotbed of football greatness: private preparatory academies in Massachusetts, New Hampshire and Vermont. I'm sure that'll finally put his team over the top.
