They better be off the team tomorrow.

I’d prefer an investigation first, but certainly a bad situation all around.

Worst alleged incident I can recall at tOSU since Hyde was accused of assaulting a girl in a bar. This obviously even worse, in terms of alleged crime, but OSU has really been the epitome of success on the field and off the last 7-8 years.

Indefinite suspension at the least is in order but i wouldn’t waste my time with that. The fact they recorded the girl admitting it was consensual is beyond sketchy and raises red flags and the fact they already arrested them tells me the evidence has to be damning.

Definitely indefinite suspension, if not worse.

I’m not sure of mechanics, but for as long as this case likely takes, both guys careers at tOSU are likely over anyways unless victim were to recant story or evidence is produced that vindicates them.

I’m pretty bummed. Don’t know a lot about Amir personally but have been told Wint was a really good kid. I don’t care about the football aspect of it....for everyone’s lives involved, I just hope it didn’t happen.

I was also ready to kick Hyde off the team until I saw the actual tape. I do think people should be cautious about strong statements either way until more is known.

The video part is pretty damning. Guessing prosecutors agree if they are arrested and charged. This is probably true at least to some order/extent. They should and will be gone.

They are, that's what a suspension is.

They are entitled to presumption of innocence and that is it, won't be around the team until that presumption becomes a reality. Exactly as it should be.

I think indefinite suspension with charges is probably the best strategy. If you expel or kick them off, and somehow the charges are dropped, you're opening yourself up to a lawsuit.

If you suspend them indefinitely, and are eventually convicted or plead guilty to a crime, then they can be kicked off without any repercussions.

Do I think it's morally right that you have to give 2 guys charged with rape some rights because they might sue? Of course not. Unfortunately, I think that's the reality of the situation.

Your position is that an accusation results in immediate and permanent dismissal? The bar for dismissal from the team should be far lower than the courts, but to say their should be no grounds for the accused to defend themselves is a bit much.
