Kyle Nelson joining the club
Adam Cimber to Eastlake
Nobody will shed a tear for Cimber, but it will be fun to see Nelson...nice to have another LHP in the mix.

Been waiting to see this kid for a bit now, puts up video game numbers like Karinchak from the left side

Well I wasn't expecting Nelson to be up yet, but I think switching Cimber out for a different arm. Also as I have stated in other posts, Hand and Perez likely will be gone in 2020 (unless they resign at a lower rate) so getting Nelson in there now in the middle of the pentant race, I am all for since he is likely one of the main guys going forward in the bullpen!

i see the indians are taking a "fuck it, talent is talent" approach to the rest of the season. Experience be damned

I think its more of the, this guy isn't being effective so let's see what the next guy in line can do!

Perhaps overlooked in the Marlins 29-9 loss to Atlanta last night was Mattingly’s use of his pitching staff or perhaps I should say abuse. Yamamoto’s pitching line through 2.2 innings of work: 11 hits,12 ERs, and two walks. He threw 94 pitches in less than three innings of work. Wonder how Mattingly can justify leaving Yamamoto in for so long only to be slaughtered by the Braves hitters. Was he being punished? Perhaps Mattingly went inside the locker room to attend to personal business? I just don’t understand.

Alomar said Cimber lost his "wipeout" slider and his sinker is catching too much of the plate. He thinks it may be a mechanical problem that Cimber needs to fix.

After last season Cimber divulged that his arm angle dropped by nine inches which flattened out his pitches. He wasn't aware of it until looking at video after the season. I guess this year they're not waiting until after the season.

I'm wondering if his funky delivery is so high maintenance that it's easy for him to lose the correct arm angle, release point, etc. But he's 30 years old so at this point in his career you would think he could keep his mechanics solid for more than 40 games.

This whole virus thing with the alternate site is interesting because it's a place where you can send players for a time during the season to work intensively on a problem with coaches without having to play competitive games. Oscar Mercado got off to a horrible start at the plate so they sent him down to work on his swing with a hitting coach - now he's back. I expect Cimber will be back, too, in a couple of weeks assuming he can figure out his mechanical issue and get his slider acting right.
