2020 College Football Season/Playoff Thread

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
Thought for sure Meyer would end up coaching elsewhere eventually but that opinion dwindles with every passing day. Do we still think he is?
Personally, I always thought it was more possible he'd return in 2021 than in 2020. (Still think he's less likely to coach again than not, though). But I think the fact he's absolutely crushing it with FOX is helping keep him off the sidelines.

I still think it would depend on what's available.

I don't think he'd leave the midwest for at least the next couple years due to where his kids are. I think he may not coach at all for a couple years.

And he won't come back to just any job. I don't think he goes SEC again and I don't think he'd return to the B1G (maybe PSU or Nebraska?). If the ND job opened up and they had talent I could see him taking it. Maybe an ACC or B12 school in a top state (Miami? Texas?). And the USC rumors will always persist.

I mean it’s hard to say for sure but he seems genuinely happy doing what he’s doing. Hasn’t he said he isn’t s Guy that was going to coach into his 60s more than once? He’s almost there, so times ticking if that’s something to which he wants to stick.

Yeah, they're screwed up in East Lansing. Can't say I'm not cool with it :chuckle:

An Ohio State #0 jersey would be fucking perfect. Just take my money already :chuckle:

You just hate to see it.

Between this and taking a vacation during quarantine, needless to say that Dabo is just a bit ignorant. His awe shucks, high faith persona is just so damn dated.

They really need to do more on the targeting ejection. For non intentional helmet to helmet contact, an ejection is not warranted. Period.

I think there is a necessity to keep some form of targeting rule, because they do need to reduce those types of hits. But yes, there needs to be a larger evaluation on it because it's something that has a big effect in the game even though it might be an accident, or worse, it's the offensive player's fault. If you try to hit someone properly but they duck down and force illegal contact... why are we sending the defender home?
