2020 Draft Prospects Thread

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
I am thinking a QB panic happens this year. 3 will be top 10 picks and more then likely 4 will be. I think the top 4 Burrows, Tua, Herbert, and Love are seen as better group of prospects then the 2018 draft Mayfield, Darnold, Allen, and Rosen. I'm opinion coming out of college they would be ranked:

1. Burrows
2. Tua
3a. Mayfield
3b. Darnold
5. Herbert
6. Allen
7a. Rosen
7b. Love

Teams who need a QB--Miami, Chargers, Denver,
Teams who should probably take a real close look at what they got and if they think one of these 4 is a franchise QB they should move up --Wash, Detroit, Carolina, Jacksonville, Raiders, Colts, Tampa Bay, New England, and Tenn.

1. Cincy--Burrows QB
2. Wash--Young DL--they know they are gonna be bad next so might as well give Haskins another year and take a franchise DE player.
3. Det--Tua QB--trade with Chargers who brings Rivers back for 1 year to mentor Tua and let him get completely healthy. or they trade Stafford to Denver and take Tua for themselves
4. NYG--Thomas OT
5. Mia--Herbert QB trade with Jax. Miami didn't want to give up farm for a injured Tua at 3 and knows next year is gonna be just as bad so get more draft picks and wait a year.
6. LAC--Det--Brown DL
7. Car--Simmons LB
8. Ari--2nd best OT--Willis, Jackson, Becton, or Wirfs
9. Jac--Mia--LVR--another trade--Lamb WR
10. Clev--I don't think the Raiders, TB, or Colts move up to get Love. Maybe Broncos or NE does but I think they wait and see if falls farther. We trade 10th to Colts who take Jeudy WR.(we get a 3rd rounder)
11. Jets--Okudah CB
12. LVR--MIa--2nd DE Chaisson or Gross-Matos-Epenesa
13. Browns--Delpit S

41. Browns--Jones Houston OT

Why does Denver need a QB?

How far would Akers fall? We have no idea who we are going to get in FA, and of course not one of our top picks. But if Akers falls to our second 3rd or 4th rounder - would we bite?

This all assumes we would not keep Hunt. Or would it benefit us more to draft another OL or load up on DEF (LB, S)

I have seen some RB chatter on here later in the draft so wanted some opinions.

I think you'd have to take him in the 3rd.

He's my favorite of the "sleeper" prospects in this draft and I think fits very well behind Chubb.

I was about to ask who the best RB of the draft is. I feel like the Chiefs might look to add one early if we want to go BPA or maybe a WR since we will likely lose Watkins.

Even though we have more needs else where. OL, ILB, CB, DE, and maybe DT if we lose Chris Jones.

Would love to see jk dobbins in kc!

Love it. Shifty like a young Barry Sanders. Diving into the end zone like Priest Holmes. Perfect speedster to add to our offense. Only question is if he can pass catch? If so it's a no brainer. If not, we might favor one that does. If he fell to 2nd or 3rd round, I think it would be worth it. Even though we should focus on the defense and O Line more.

Since the topic has been on RB, I'm gonna give you guys my real late round guy who I just have a feeling will be a dude in the NFL.

Reggie Corbin. undersized, but he's so shifty and made some serious plays this year for Illinois.

JK has a case to make for RB1 with Swift and Taylor.

Tremendous progression this last year.
Which one is the best pass catcher? I'm trying to figure out who would fit best with Chiefs. I'm guessing Swift isn't an option since he will be taken early probably.

But I think there is also a chance we go for a sleeper pick in mid rounds. Because we might go for other needs first. I heard it was a deep WR class which could be good. Deep RB class too?

I would argue JK is the best pass catcher.
Taylor the most patient.
Swift the best pass protector and has a good combo of both.

I think teams will have a mix of rankings on their board depending on scheme. The Chiefs particularly should have Taylor and Dobbins the highest, I really think either would thrive in that zone scheme and wide open attack.

Not as deep at RB than WR, but some exciting guys in the middle rounds.

Zach Moss is a guy I like a lot.
LaMical Perine

I’ll bucket based on an athletic profile developed after the combine, but I’d imagine the Browns will be in this market in the later rounds/UDFA.

Okay cool. Thanks for that info. I was just checking some Chiefs boards and I saw more mocks have us taking Dobbins. They recognize our other needs, but say that Dobbins is really that good of a fit with us. Could help replace Kareem Hunt I guess.

I'll probably be researching more prospects later. Another guy said from his own perspective that he isn't too thrilled about the CB or LB class outside of like the top couple elite prospects. Which I've seen some mocks where tons of CB's come off the board early in round 1.

Eno Benjamin, Cam Akers are two more guys to keep an eye out for.

I think they’d do well to find a gadget back as well, really keep amping up that speed to challenge teams horizontally because of how good they already are vertically.

JJ Taylor and Reggie Corbin are two later round guys to watch.

There were a lot of interesting underclassmen RBs who declared, and I'm sure they are going to get a lot of buzz. I see a lot of players who can get into a committee and produce. Moss is going to come off the board early. The two Florida boys - Akers and Perine - are both the types who would fit into what the Niners do very easily because they are great receivers as well as runners.

One forgotten name who will be in the draft is Scottie Phillips of Ol' Miss. He was a JUCO transfer who was great in 2018 and for a little more than half the season in 2019 but then got dinged up. Against tough SEC defenses he showed vision, quickness and power. I don't see him on many top 200 prospect lists because of durability questions, but it was also a lot of success in a small sample size.
