2020 Draft Prospects Thread

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
In terms of production, sure.

Saquon is a superior talent, but talent doesn’t always necessitate production.
Anyone running behind that Eagles offensive line (or anyone with Kelce at C) is going to be in a prime situation for good output.

TIL Miles Sanders, who ranked 12th among RBs in yards from scrimmage and 18th among RBs in yards from scrimmage/game, was terrible last year

Bad player, obviously. Do not like.

18th in the league in YPC isn’t average as fuck or anything.

Sanders was nothing special at all.

If Sanders had half the hype train of Saquon, some takes in here would look very different.

For anyone that didn't watch the Eagles this year and simply looked at his total numbers, it might shade your opinion of Sanders a little bit. His numbers were impressive as is for a rookie, especially if you saw how limited his use was early on in the season. Jordan Howard was their #1 back and the Eagles really had no idea on how to use Sanders. When Howard got dinged up Sanders started taking off, especially in the passing game.

As a pure runner, Barkely is better without a doubt. However, Sanders is plenty capable as a runner and can take it to the house at any time. I actually believe Sanders is the more dynamic receiving threat, though Barkley is capable himself.

I don't know if Sanders will ever be a guy that's going to run for 1500 yds+ in a season, but I see him as being the type to put up 1000 yds rushing and receiving in the same season with 15 total TDs or more.

It'll be interesting to see how he's used from the start of next season now that the staff has a better idea on what he's capable of doing. He also happens to be a pretty good returner as well, though I'm not sure how long they'll leave him in that role.

If he had the hype train that Saquon had, his season would have been viewed as a little underwhelming. However, he wasn't a first round pick and wasn't a generational athlete, so his season should be considered a success.

You get judged in accordance with situation. A top five pick inherently is judged differently from a third or fourth round pick because the expectations are higher.

I think there are at least three RBs better than Jacobs in this draft. Maybe four or five. Sanders was clearly the best talent in last year's draft as far as backs go.

What NFL are you watching. Jacobs was probably the 2nd or 3rd best RB in NFL last year. Go look up PFF ratings. Sanders is ranked around 79th overall RB and ranked 104th in rushing while Jacobs is top 4 in all rankings.

In a draft class that is so strong at the tackle position wouldn't it make sense to draft a pair of bookend tackles with our first and maybe 3rd round picks?

Trading down seems like the optimal play if the OT class is as deep as they say.

Unless there is one undeniable blue chip guy that will make it to ten.

I think that may happen but it would be really cool to pick up a second, or another first, and still get a career starter at T.

My opinion: take the best available with pick #1, pay for a veteran with some tread left on the tires so that the Browns can develop the other bookend in round 3.
