2020 Final Series Pirates @ Indians, Sep. 25-27

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
I could get used to these comebacks. Just a few days ago I'd have said there was no chance of coming from 3-4 runs down to win, but it's starting to happen regularly.

Great to see that black hole in the 4 and 5 spots in the batting order finally get going and combine for 8 RBI's. Santana loves Pirate pitching.

Lindor threw away a run on a bad relay throw on a double play and once again failed to get a hit with two on, two out and the Indians down by a run. At least for this season I think he's the most overrated player in baseball.

Hand finishes the season 16-for-16. Awesome!

The bottom third of the order lent a hand as Naylor had a couple of hits, Perez had a walk and a hit, and even Mercado had a base hit.

That kid De'Bryan Hayes is going to be one hell of a player.

Bring on the Yankees, losers of four of their last five and six of their last eight.

Yet always dangerous, with lots of power.

I think the Tribe home OPS numbers are no better; probably worse overall.

And FWIW, Perez has one RBI in the 16 home games he played in 2020. Even Leon topped Perez in RBIs and OPS at home: .626.

Yeah but we have a triple crown winner

So hopes now shift to tito making a full recovery and maybe the team wants to win it for him. I sure hope the skipper can come backnext season. Otherwise, it's probably Sandy's job. There are worse things. Best of luck Tito

I don't think they'd do Alomar dirty, especially because I don't think he'd cost that much, but if the decision was mine to make I would hire someone who isn't Alomar if Francona is forced to retire.

Respectfully disagree. Sandy has been the manager in waiting for years. It's his job if Terry has to retire. Just my opinion.

Oh I mean, I am pretty confident Alomar will get the permanent job if Francona were unable to return.

I just haven't been overly impressed with him as a tactician and would prefer they look elsewhere.

Completely agree there. 100% I try to strike a balance between whatI'm so used to and what sandy does. Baseball is just that. Baseball. Dammed if you do, Dammed if you don't. Just different.

I really loved him sending Brad hand long in today's game. Nice move by sandy there

True but the Yankees supposed big advantage is their offense. They dont have much an edge statistically.

Their away team OPS is .677.

Our home OPS is .674.

The huge statistical advantage...pitching...belongs to the Indians.

Tribe home ERA is 3.67.

NYC road OPS is 5.27.

I know this is difficult, if not impossible, to grasp (It is for me)...but the Royals had better pitching and hitting on the road than NY.

ERA...4.45
OPS...680

What does that mean for a three game post season series? I dunno, but on paper we should be the favs....but we the dogs on the betting line.
