I keep seeing lineups being suggested with the focus on on getting the most number of at-bats for the better hitters.
On the one hand that is understandable but an important part of lineup construction is balance.
Too many pure lefties (or righties) in a row makes the Tribe vulnerable to pitchers that are very good against that side of the plate.
Having the switch-hitters is an advantage lost when they are all bunched together (RHP who gets lefties out/ LHP who gets righties out).
What is the best lineup for the Tribe? I don't know but that is the job of Tito & the coaches - to tinker & experiment thru spring training to find the best combination..
