2020 Major League Baseball Postseason

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
10 and 9 runs, respectively from two juggernaut offenses...

The A's and Ray's.. both getting smoaked in their opener of the ALDS..

These healthy yankees.. are a force to behold.. they can slug their way to the title.. unless someone puts a serious dent in their confidence.. or their manager makes a big mistake by starting an inexperienced kid...

The Stros are like the 83 win Cardinals.. getting hot at the right time.. and having their clutch players perform when the lights are shining brightest.. Springer is a FA, also.. wouldn't he be the exact right guy to stick in the OF on the North Coast for the next 7 years?..

Let's see how the senior circuit fares later today.. but, the ALDS is off to a roaring start..

Thoughts?

My thoughts are the sports gods are a spiteful bunch if we get a HOU-NYY ALCS for the third time in four years :chuckle:

The Yankees do have an imposing lineup for sure. I am curious how their pitchers other than Cole will will perform in the postseason.Their bullpen isn’t as strong as in the past either. As for the Astros, their rotation is much weaker than in the past. I would be surprised if they make the WS.

Acuna’s bat flip after a massive HR today prompted this comment by Bauer:

This is the direction the game is going, and needs to go to survive. Don’t like getting shown up? Get better or get out. This league ain’t waiting around for you.

Saw that Clevinger lasted only a full inning and two pitches into the second, as he was pulled for injury. Had a huge drop in velocity from the first to the second. Yikes. Hope the best for him.

Yankees struck out 18 times, put only 14 ball in play and still had a good chance to win the
game yesterday.

Really fun game between the Dodgers and Padres. It is a shame the Pads have the pitching injuries to battle. The Padres made it exciting in the ninth. It just wasn’t enough.
