The Rays put together one of the greatest team defensive performances I’ve ever seen last night.

They straight up robbed 7 hits with spectacular defensive plays both in the outfield and on the infield.

For the series the Astros have THIRTEEN balls hit with an expected batting average of .500+ that have gone for outs.

As I watched the game, I couldn't help myself thinking how DeShields would have not made any of those
catches in CF.

There has been some good baseball in the LCS. The Braves probably have the edge in game 7 because of the pitching situation. I am looking forward to it. The ALCS was a classic

This World Series has gotten very good indeed!
Brett Phillips tying it up with 2 outs and 2 strikes? That's like Michael Martinez coming through in the clutch!
And the sheer luck of 2 Dodger errors allowing Arozarena to score after falling to the ground?
TB was absolutely depleted and in no position to win an extra inning game. Just an astonishing turn of events.

Brett Phillips running away from his teammates mobbing him while airplaning (and one going tumbling away after they dived in an attempt to tackle him) was utterly absurd and hilarious. Not a single Ray was at home plate to greet the guy that actually scored the game winner.

Holy shit Justin Turner tests positive for COVID and gets yanked mid game?

How the fuck does that happen?

In a bubble no less where literally no one else has tested positive. I wouldn’t be surprised if it ends up being a false positive.

For all the talk about how bad the NBA ratings have been, baseball ratings have also been atrocious. Basically everything but football has suffered from a ratings perspective.

We’ll see but it’s not a great look for the MLB right now. I guess Turner was tested yesterday and that came back ‘inconclusive’ and today’s test came back ‘positive’.

I mean, the MLB might’ve dodged the biggest bullet in history by the skin of their teeth. Just not totally sure how or why they let the game go on without conclusive results....

When push comes to shove, Cashs' decision to pull Snell last night was asinine. Stats can't read the moment
and the human element.
I didn’t agree with the decision at the time. We will never know what happened if he had stayed in there. But, the Rays needed to score more than one run to expect to win IMO
