Since there are various sources posting rankings for the Tribe, I figured it would be wise to have a thread with those various items linked and allow for some discussion of the rankings. I would hope others will add on & share links as they come across other open source material so we can all enjoy.

The biggest value I find in the various sources/ options is some additional insights/ information that many of us might not be tuned into. I know a few places have posted items already so I will try to add additional posts for those places.

On 11/22/19, FantraxHQ put out its top 25 for the Indians. They had some rather nice things to say about the system overall and an interesting spin on where various players rank.

On 11/1/19, Burning River Baseball started its rankings. They went 100 deep. My only 'issue' with their listing is if a player has ANY time in the Majors (but still has rookie status) they are ineligible for the BRB listing..

That means players like Bradley/ Chang/ Karinchak/ L Allen will not appear on the list.

From 11/4/19 Jeff Ellis of 247Sports/ Scouting Baseball/ Locked on Indians podcast & Locked On Podcast network posted his top 11 while teasing a deeper list to possibly drop later in the off season.

It’s going to bother me if this isn’t renamed to 2020 Minor League Thread

Sorry. As the newbie I didn't realize those yearly minor league treads started with the various prospect rankings leading into that year..

We thank you for getting the thread started with a lot of info since that’s what really matters!

also I don’t mind if one of the prospect lists excludes people who are on/have played some big league time since we have already been introduced to them. I wanna see the guys I don’t know about

I guess where I get rubbed wrong is the idea that someone is considered a top 10/ top 15/ top 20 talent in the organization when a handful of good talents are being arbitrarily excluded from consideration. I try to take the various lists & input them into an excel spreadsheet to come up with a consensus/ average rating for each player. When players get excluded (be it 1 player, 4 players or more in some years) - it skews the output.

I get what ya mean that way, so to make a final top prospects use your personal opinion and logic to finish it. Personally sometimes if a player is about the same rank wise I will put the one who could impact the team now/sooner first so we all have our own little quirks anyways to how we do our lists
