Is Killian Hayes a match for our team? I think I might prefer him over Edwards. I think him or Lamelo is the pick if we get 1 or 2.

Vassel is my pick if we slide Okoro right after.

Warming to Wiseman a little bit. Okwongu is probably the safer pick there.

If we drafted Hayes we would pretty much have to trade one of our young guards most likely Garland imo

Yeah I think so. What is your pick for #1? Who is the best guy in the draft? Do you trade Garland if you take Lamelo? This feels just like 2013 and Killian might be Oladipo.

My top 3 best overall players from the draft is:
1. Edwards
2. Hayes
3. Ball

If we drafted Ball I would let it play out before trading anyone as he has real size to play the 3.
I wouldn’t draft Hayes because there is a good chance he isn’t as good as Garland yet we would pretty much have to trade

Maybe just me, but I think this draft is so weak you just have to forget about fit and take the guy you think will be the best NBA player.

I dunno. I think maybe you should pick a guy that you are sure will be an NBA player. Lot of bust potential at the top.

I would normally agree but we’ve taken so many guards recently and there’s a good chance all of them are better than the guards in this draft so I would just take the best player who can guard 3’s

I’m of the opinion KP is a shooting guard/pg, some may disagree with that

I think 2-guard is his position. Assuming that's true, we have three recently drafted guards and one wing/SF. We also have two PFs and a SF on long term contracts. Ideally I would prefer to be able to draft a really good compliment to that group, but I would try not to force it. (We also don't have a tall guard with elite court vision and there might be three of those in the top half of the lottery this year.)

We don’t have a #1 or #2 option on a title team. Fit shouldn’t be considered IMO. You take BPA.....if that is a PG, it is what it is. Explore trading one or both of the guards we have taken in past years if it comes to that.

Fit isn’t a consideration until a team has identifiable core building blocks. To me, we aren’t to that stage yet, where we should be considering who we have on the roster when making draft selections.

But it’s a very even draft, there doesn’t seem to be a clear top 3 or even 5. You only go best player if you think it’s clear which I don’t think it is this year

I’d pick LaMelo Ball if he’s on the board. His playmaking and vision is elite. His shot needs some work just like Lonzo’s did but his 3pt percentage improved as his NBL season went on.
I’ve only seen one highlights clip of Killian Hayes and he actually looks like a well rounded player. He’s definitely one to watch out for.
If we do draft a point guard with our pick i would try trade Darius Garland to the Phoenix Suns for their first round pick (currently projected at #10). Apparently at last years draft combine they told him they were going to pick him at 6 if he was still available. He wasn’t, so they traded their pick down and signed Ricky Rubio.
Garland could be their point guard of the future and would pair nicely with Devin Booker who is their primary ball handler. It would suit Garland who isn’t a natural playmaker, i read an article saying he primarily played off ball during his younger years.
With Phoenix’s #10 pick we could add a wing player like Okoro, Vassell, Bey or see if any other prospects like Avdija or Okongwu fall to us

How can we say this when he only played 12 games?

Two of Ball's last four games he got hot and went 4/7 and 5/11 from deep, but were his only efficient scoring games of the season. Streaky at best.
