2020 NFL Draft - Pick #88 - Jordan Elliott, DT, Missouri

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
I watched the tape, and there were good moments but mostly not.. Tennessee ran away from him often, and double teamed him a few times, but he did seem to get disruptive often..

Did or not get disruptive often? I’m slightly confused

He is big and strong, but most of the time was not around the point of attack, five or six times he took himself out of the play with his back turned to the ball, or fighting past the carrier. And a few times he was standing watching the scrum.. part of the problem is he gets upright and seems to get stuck arm wrestling not really shedding the block toward the ball..

Which is not to say he is bad or a wasted pick at 88, just that we aren't looking at a slam dunk starter.. and I openly admit I am no dline expert..

I already noted that Tennessee often ran away from his position, and he got creamed on double teams a few times.. he also played a role on the one sack..

Jordan Elliot played 34 snaps yesterday and had one QB pressure, one assisted pressure, and one tackle at the LOS. Not great, but he is one to keep an eye on.
Sorry to besmirch anyone with such an illustrious first name, but I've been unimpressed so far. I was hoping for an explosive, quicker DT and so far he's just kinda looked slow.

I know his college tape was lots of meh, with some explosive highlight plays, which made him the darling of some draftniks, and a bum for others. Let's hope we can mold him into that highlight version.

I believe he had a good camp. I hope he’s able to put it together.

Yeah, I wasn’t trying to say he looked good. Simply that he had enough playing time to create mediocre production.

I thought he was good against the run - the potential is there. I believe he will continue to grow as he gets more PT.

Saw this guy in the Eagles backfield a number of times. Looking forward to see if he continues to get better in these final six regular season games and beyond.

Delpit, Harrison, and Harris are really unknowns so far(but not negatives either) and Wills, Elliott, Bryant, and DPJ have me feeling pretty good about an Andrew Berry led draft
