2020 Off-Season Rumors/News

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
Can the White Sox and Twins fucking stop?!

Indians legend Josh Donaldson signs with our arch rivals. This may jeopardize his jersey being retired here.

Twins all in. Not sure the Tribe will respond in kind. Maybe a Lindor trade after fan fest?

when and where and maybe something nice could happen haha

but on a serious note, the Twins are really going all for it, but my question isn’t the age of some of the boppers a question mark plus they don’t nearly have as good as pitchers as the Indians do from top to bottom. Donaldson doesn’t help the tribes position, but the offensive numbers from last season will be hard to duplicate since everything went well and right for them!

92M is the second largest guarantee in MLB history for player 34 years old or older.

This deal will likely hamper the Twins a couple years from now, but it only bolsters their already robust lineup for at least next season.

Twins may be hurting on the back end of the deal but that lineup’s power is terrifying

Actually really like that deal for them.

They’ll squeeze out the last bit of quality defense he can give someone at 3B just in time for Cruz to be a free agent, then a team with a lot of young, cost controlled good players can slot him in at DH as a steady middle of the lineup bat.

Only way I think this goes poorly for them is if his health problems come back, which could most certainly happen. Otherwise, if he’s in your lineup you pretty much know what you’re getting from him.

Twins *offense* is stacked.

Pitching (usually) wins championships. Twins slugged their asses off all season and then died in the playoffs.

Donaldson is great, for sure, and that lineup will probably be one of the best in baseball again.

Lets see where their pitching is in August. I bet it won't be great, unless Rich Hill is somehow still a great starter at like 41 years old.

I don’t think the Twins learned anything from the Joe Mauer contract that was an albatross on that organization rather quickly.

Pitching and signs stealing wins championships. Stacked hitting certainly wins divisions as we saw. Tribe definitely has the better more quality arms, but see Twins offense. I'll convince myself how the Indians can win the Central through pitching, but Donaldson bolsters that group so much. It'll be a battle all summer long. Hopefully fans show up.
