I like Greg Allen, but what has he done that's earned a spot? He's a decent 4th OF-type I suppose, but really is more organizational depth than anything else.
I'm not ready to give up on Zimmer, but he's highly likely to spend at least a chunk of the year with Columbus.
Bobby Bradley looked overmatched in the bigs, but I'm OK with him continuing to work in AAA. But as an option in 2019? That pushes Reyes to every day OF, which I'm not a fan of. You need to do better than Bobby Bradley at DH for me to want Reyes in the field that much.
Jake Bauers is a big question mark. Deshields can handle the left side of a platoon I suppose, but Luplow already does that.
I'm being patient but I'll be disappointed if this is the team we see on opening day. OF options are starting to run thin now though - Puig, Lillar, Maybin, Santana...that's about it, and none of those guys are much to write home about. Maybe they can swing a trade, or maybe they just really believe in someone like Daniel Johnson. But s projected opening day outfield of Oscar Mercado, Jake Bauers, and Jordan Luplow while your payroll sits under $100 M is a tough sell with me. I'm being patient though, because I do trust this front office.
