2020 Series #14 Royals at Indians, Sep. 7-10

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
This batting order has to change. Lindor only hits when the bases are empty, so we bat him 3rd every game. So he can strand more runners. Santana hasn’t hit all year but bats cleanup every game. If I were managing I’d throw my 9 starters names in a hat, draw them out to see who bats 1st, 2nd, etc. Just to shake things up.
And, by the way, let Josey sit till his thumb is better.

Bat Lindor lead off...

Lindor
Ramirez.... Or?
Naquin.. Or...
Reyes
Santana
Hernandez
and
Luplow/Naylor/Perez/Mercado?etc..... BUT
DeShields - always here... He hits enough to have some.... value... here...

I would actually do..

Lindor, Hernandez, Ramirez, Santana, Reyes...

If I am changing it, I'm getting Santana out of the 4th hole before I move Lindor.

Lindor, Hernandez, Ramirez, Reyes..... I'd go with that

My daughter was listening on the radio and Hamilton apparently expects Lindor to lead off tomorrow with Hernandez dropping into the two hole. He said Sandy and Tito talked about it recently.

Hopefully we just hit rock bottom getting hammered 11-1 and losing 3 of 4 to a last place team and damn near getting no-hit.

The Royals put on a clinic in two-out hitting, going 9-for-18 or thereabouts. All 11 runs tonight came with two out. Alomar praised their two-out approach just last night while disparaging ours. He was right on the money.

This Oliveras kid they picked up from the Padres went 7-for-16 against us. I think we traded for the wrong outfielder. But Naylor finally hit a fly ball. It wasn't a hit but it was a fly ball to left. Now I'm waiting to see if he can hit the ball in the air and pull it at the same time. He's off to a flying start with his new team, hitting .179. He fits right in with this outfield which came in battng .198. I hope Naylor starts hitting or he'll pull down the average and make them look bad.

The announcers pointed out the Indians have worked 21 walks on this home stand and 3 of them scored. After tonight it's 23 walks and 3 scored. Wow!

What's with DeShields breaking the wrong way in the outfield three times in the last two games? They said he is an elite defensive centerfielder but I'm sure not seeing it. Most of the time he can use his speed to outrun his horrible jumps, though. Being a former centerfielder himself Manning was shocked at how often DeShields is getting fooled out there.

Kyle Nelson got a pretty rude welcome to the bigs. The Royals ran him out of there quickly.

Going into the 9th the Tribe had scored 1 run in the last 23 innings. The Royals took finally took pity and put in Matt Harvey so we could get a run.

Now for the Twins. This could get ugly.
