2020 Starting Pitching Discussion

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
Wonder if the herky jerky approach got him. Gotta be careful paying this dude, he's only getting older.

Here we go and it’s mid February. He won’t be right until May-June: that’s assuming they are cutting. If they try and repair it???? The fucking season.

Already with the injuries? If this is gonna be a repeat of last season i'll be very upset . . .

Typical recovery based on amateur google research is 4-6 weeks as long as it's uncomplicated. Obviously that's far from a guarantee, but he shouldn't miss much time based on this limited information.

The recovery isn't as worrisome as the prospect of having to extend him out and him getting his cardio in during the time off.

I'd put a guess of two months in, hopefully they get him back and ready by the end of April latest.

With Clev on the shelf until sometime in April at earliest, it looks like our rotation has been on paper set. With Bieber, Carrasco, Plutko, Civale and Plesac. I mean someone else could earn a spot but it looks like this will be the starting 5 for the beginning of the season.

Whatever they do, they better error on the side of caution. If the doctors say he is ready in 6 weeks, give him 7. Then put him on a pitch count his first 3 outings. We absolutely can't have this linger into July or August.

For all we know, the doctors said 4-6 weeks and the team/Clev decided on 6-8. We just have to trust them here. They've given us no reason not to.
