2020 Trade Deadline Thread

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
30 years old, what is left on his deal years and monetary wise?

STEPHON GILMORE (CB, NE)
Age: 30
There were rumors that Gilmore was on the block this offseason, so if the Patriots falter over the next few weeks, his name could pop back up in conversations. Gilmore will have $8.13M remaining at the deadline, with a ridiculously small $7.5M to be made in 2021, so a trade now almost certainly means an extension this spring. A move would leave behind $7.3M of dead cap in 2020, plus another $7.6M in 2021 ($9.5M savings).

I don't see the Browns putting any sort of assets towards a trade unless they are young. I can see bringing in a vet if they don't have a big contract and could be had with a very late pick.

A couple interesting names:

Breshad Perriman - Was great in limited targets in 2018 and we know he has chemistry with Baker. Has concussion issues now, but can't imagine the Jets would say no to anything for him.

Everson Griffin - Was reported the Browns talked to him in FA. He only has a 1 year deal. A 6th or 7th might get it done.

I like the idea of an Anthony Harris rental for the rest of the year. I have no idea how feasible that is.

wow I thought he was like 25
That's because ESPN doesn't talk about a player when he's in Buffalo, even if he's a highly touted top-ten overall first round pick. :chuckle:

I imagine you're not the only one who thought his career began when he showed up in New England... similar to Marshawn Lynch and Seattle.

yeah I forgot all about his Rex Ryan years. Lynch I remember. I remember a lot of people were wanting us to trade for him.
