2020 UDFA Signings

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
Here's Brugler's write up on UDFA signing Alex Taylor. Sounds like a guy possibly worth stashing on the practice squad for a year to see how it goes.

202. Alex Taylor, OT, South Carolina State (6-8, 308)
With his body flexibility and foot agility, Taylor looks like a basketball player in pads, not showing any awkwardness in his movements. His size is a double-edged sword, boasting remarkable length, but his taller stature and high center of gravity creates leverage issues and struggles to play low. Overall, Taylor lacks sophistication to his game and can be tossed if his posture isn’t precise, but his light feet and length are intriguing beginner traits, projecting as a high-upside zone tackle who will need time.

@Randolphkeys!!!

Thor Nystrom of Rotoworld had a high 5th round grade on Alex Taylor, ranking him his #146 overall prospect.

His 4th best UDFA overall.

FYI, almost 30% of the NFL rosters are made up of UDFA, they are more important than the 7th rounders for sure. Usually the back of the roster, but allot of depth comes from these players.

Taylor Same school as Zeus Brown who we also signed as an UDFA.

Brian Herrian commits to Georgia in 2016 alongside Elijah Holyfield.

When he gets on campus they already have Sony Michel (31st overall pick) and Nick Chubb (35th overall pick). After those guys are gone, they bring in D'Andre Swift (35th overall pick).

Not a bad career for guy who basically was a backup for four years behind three high end pro prospects.

277 carries, 1,413 yards, 5.1 YPC, 13 TD
