Did he wear 81 because that was the year he graduated from high school?

I get making jokes because he's old. But yeah he graduated high school at 0 years old in 1981. I am assuming he picked it because he was born in 1981.

My brother made the same mistake. I was off the next day and was getting ripped off Sam Adams Cold Snaps. SA outplayed us that game, but we won off of a transcendent performance from Kyrie.

Still one of the craziest and most miraculous things I've ever seen...right above his solo act against the Blazers earlier that season. If I recall correctly, Kyrie had the #1 and #2 highest scoring games that year with 57 and 55, respectively.

Such a talent, he and LeBron should have gone down in the books as an ATG duo.
I was really annoyed with LeBron that game. Kyrie continued to be scorching hot in late OT and the team was up, then LeBron started jacking up shots (and making them though) and getting intentionally fouled for freethrows, rather than letting Kyrie take those shots and get to 60.

As it turns out, it’s a rich family tradition carried down by the generations and told by the elders.

It began with his great great great great grandfather Juan Carlos Calderon de Cartagena.

It is told that Juan Carlos was bestowed with a canary (the canary originated from Spain) by the most beautiful girl in the village, Maria dos santos Villabuena as a sign of her affection.

They began a whirlwind romance and he courted Maria. He took her on canal rides, bicycle trips through the local village, picnics, trips into the foothills.

One day some local villains absconded with the beautiful Maria into a cave system in the hills and ultimately killed her.

Juan Carlos took off into the dark of the night with a musket and a rudimentary sword to stalk out each one of them for revenge. He brought with him his canary, which bravely flew throughout the cave system and chirped each time it found one of Maria’s abductors.

Juan Carlos took them out one by one.

It took him exactly 81 days to take down all 19 of them.

Just throw in some Bone Tomahawk style gory violence and you, my good sir, have yourself a greenlit project. Unfortunately, I lost all of my contacts at Miramax when a batch of cocaine I supplied to some of the higher ups was cut with way too much baby lax and they all lost control of their bowels during a screening of My Left Foot. It is my biggest regret

It was only natural for Kyrie to in turn give the same treatment to Love when he was in prime position to tie his buddy Klay for the highest scoring quarter of all time.

It’s all fun and games until your sword gets The Peyronie's….

Koby needs to get a vet scorer in here and a 3rd vet PG imo. Can't expect Garland to be the only person who can consistently get his on shot. And cant rely on old man Rondo to be available every game.

I haven’t even told about the legend of Count Pepe Ronie, el soldado con el bastón torcido, which translates loosely to “Young Jose Ronie, the soldier with the crooked sword.

Have any of these dudes improved since college?

I actually think Cam has improved. He dropped to 10th overall because of his performance his freshman year after being at for sure "top 3" pick.

I am not Reddish will ever live up to his high school hype, but he seems worthy of his 10th overall selection and improved since his rookie year where one might have thought he would be out of the league by the end of his rookie contract.

Zion is a mess, hasnt taken his diet or game seriously, and cant stay healthy.

RJ is improved too. He is averaging 16.6, shooting 36% from 3, rebounds well for a guard, probably the most consistant of the 3 even though Zion is the best the little he plays.

3rd over all is lofety considering our very own 3rd overall is playing better as a rookie than RJ is playing now in his 3rd year. And you can argue he regressed some from last year, but still a decent player.

We're more than halfway thru the 2021-22 regular season and the Cavs are ranked #2 in the league for points allowed, tied #2 for most road wins, and closer to 1st in the East than they are to out of the playoffs.

Just as I predicted back in October!

Those b2b monster dunks by Laurie and Allen sealed the deal tonight great physical game this team is really something. Warriors just beat the bills by like 40 and we were crying Sunday cause we lost by 10 lol this team fights every game and I love it
