I would trade Sexton and Garland if we could find a wing to add to our core. It's how little I value the Sexland shrimp industry. I like Okoro's upside over either guy and I doubt he reaches those limits.

I would throw a few bucks at Svi.

But why? In college he was a good shooter it hasn't really translated to the NBA. He had 1 season where he was a great shooter and 2 seasons where he was absolutely terrible. Throwing money at him would be an odd choice. I would throw maybe 2 M per year at him but nothing more.

I said, "a few bucks," not $5M. At this point, it's wise to buy lottery tickets and see if they can develop guys that are forgotten or given up on. For a minimum deal, or even just a camp invite, I'd absolutely get Svi.

i hope tomorrow this is a reality. then sign justice winslow with the remaining MLE and the roster is set.
1 year deals for Svi & Winslow work for me. Cavs would be wise to put in a team option for year 2, in case they do well and it also makes the contract a potentially valuable trade chip.

I would pass on Winslow. Dude is trash. And his defense isn't good anymore either. No reason to spend on a guy who is a black hole offensively and always hurt if he doesn't have a skill to make up for those massive flaws.

He’s pretty bad man. Like, really bad.
He’s not that bad. Ntikilina is a viable NBA player who is a former lottery pick for a reason. He just turned 23 and he has a 7’1” wingspan, which is outrageous for a guard.

I'd rather give the spot to a complete unknown or gleague guy at this point

If your talking about the 3rd PG spot, I agree. No one worthwhile that has already played in the league is going to want to come in to be our 3rd PG. We need to use the spot for someone who can develop to eventually take over for Rubio. Guys like Ntikilina aren't going get better sitting on the bench.

I hope Hand or The Turkish dude on the SL roster stands out some. Either one could develop a year behind Rubio and hopefully be ready next season to fill in for Rubio.

I can see why Altman would like to have a 3rd PG. If one of the first two go out, you're sort of stuck in a bad place.
But I sure don't want to spend much money for him, even if he has experience. I'm sure some summer league PG will do just fine.
We need a wing badly!
