How many b2b’s are normal in a given season? Looking through the schedule and Cavs have a few coming up in the next month.

Oof. So many bad decisions by the coach in this game that cost the Cavs the game.

-First, riding Okoro when he clearly fucked up the Cavs offence and what they were supposed to do. Bucks over help and allow open 3pt shots from the corners. SO what does this coach do? he puts Okoro in the corner...makes sense. Then every PnR you do you are faced with a wall and your oop opportunities are non existent. Okoro was a fucking disgrace in this game regardless. Just individually...what are you waiting for? sub him the fuck out.

-Going away from lineups that worked just because you had your rotations made up already. Every time the Cavs made a run with a certain lineup, JBB made a sub that fucked the run up. Yes, he shouldn't have inserted Mobley in the 4th. That was crucial.

-Not taking advantage of Cousins on the defensive end. There is absolutely no reason to not play lineups with the greatest spacing against this Bucks team, and there is certainly no reason not to do so against the Bucks with Cousins on the floor. You make him defend the PnR in space. Jesus christ...he can't do shit. But when you have Okoro and some other bad shooters in there, you are playing right into their hands. You have to read and react as a coach and make the correct sub. He never does that. It's infuriating.

Winnable game if the coach had better gameplay and made slightly better rotations. Not asking for too much. His rotations were absolutely dreadful. Bucks suck defending the corner 3 and you played right into their hands.
They got plenty of open 3s and missed them. We are not winning any games where Darius scores 10. It isn't happening unless he gets 20 assists.

Tired legs. They win this if Cedi and Darius hit their shots

They win this if coach plays better rotations. Cavs missed their top of the break 3s and knocked down their corner 3s.

Garlands bad game was a result of congestion inside the arc that could give been alleviated or solved by having the correct lineup combos on the floor.

Cavs got fucked with every minute okoro spent on the floor. In this particular game they needed as much spacing as possible.

They played a spacing lineup and got beat down the floor repeatedly. Once they had Cedi in there, they spaced pretty well and they couldn't stop the Bucks.

I don't think it is weird that the Cavs lost the 2nd night of a back to back after coming within a single point of the Jazz the night before and left it all out there.

It's totally fine to blame Okoro for getting hammered at the rim, but Bucks are great defensive team and they haven't really lost since they had the normal lineup even without Lopez.

"your 2nd year player got shut down by the NBA champs"

so what? They shut down our pg who has been playing like an allstar and they broke the 3 pt defense the cavs have been playing too while putting up 112.

These are the games they let opponents score 112 or over

First 2 games against Grizz and Hornets at 132! and 123

then after that

Lakers 113 loss
Brooklyn 117 Loss
Phoenix 120 loss
Bucks 112 loss

They let Charlotte have 110 the 2nd game but still won that one. Otherwise nobody scored 110 even.

We just got a wakeup call in the past 2 games that similar sized athletically skilled freaks to our own starting frontcourt don't give us the same advantages we have over most teams.

You are putting it like it was a binary thing. Have Okoro in and lose or put someone else in and win, but you could see the defense fall off a cliff once he was out. Cedi missed his shots, Darius missed his shots.

It really became obvious when Giannis just iced the game at the end. We didn't have the offensive talent to win that game. They are the champs.

Sexton might have made a difference because Jrue would have been on him. We didn't have him.

Teams with good coaching and super powered offenses can still beat the Cavs. It is no mystery. Cavs need to learn how to beat these teams. They haven't yet. Experience and vet savvy among opposing players and coaches is the difference right now.

THe thing to be encouraged about is JB is capable of looking at film and making adjustments. HE has beaten

Washington
Charlotte
after losing to them previously. We've only been swept by the Suns during their 17 game streak. One was a blowout and the 2nd came down to the wire.

Mobley hasn't even done a single circuit on the NBA and Okoro has done 1.

They had a chance, couldn't hit their shots, and got beat by Giannis. It has happened to every team in the league.

They lacked their usual energy last night (still great effort, but we’re a bit off). Back to back games against elite teams, with I believe 16 games this month.
After the bulls game they finally catch a “break” in the scheduling. I just hope they not overly gassed against the teams they should now be beating.
That's my concern too. The road definitely eases but they used a ton of energy thru the first 30% of the schedule. The starters have played alot of minutes since the back end of the rotation is so bad. Most of the guys looked gassed last night although it was the 2nd night of a back to back. Opposing defenses can laser focus on the PG's esp with Okoro out there as the starting SG. I imagine Mobley could be hitting a rookie wall at some point too.

Levert really doesnt fit imo.

Decent contract, but he is 27 years old, so already in his prime and he really isnt a shooter. He can score, and he is good at moving the ball, but all he really is what we hope Okoro can become. IE a SG with some length who can move the ball at shoot around 30% form 3 and finish at the rim.

He isnt a bad player, but not sure he is our fit at SG although he would be an improvement, but considering what Indiana would be asking, most likely our 1st, no thank you.

Cavs need a low usage 3pt shooter as a stop gap. They don't need a high usg player that will demand more touches on rather low efficiency. That's not the way. He also doesn't fit what we are trying to do defensively.

I really like Turner and Sabonis but don't see a way they fit in with our core 3. I'm a "maybe" on Levert - what would we give up to get him? He's only got a year and half left on a contract that pays around 18 mil - so that's not too bad. But he's a little old to be considered a long-term piece. No doubt he's a significant upgrade from what we have and would likely give us a few more wins this year, but at what cost? I'd certainly check into it and see how desperate they are. You never know.

I would rather Hield over Levert tbh. Even then he's a putrid defender and doesn't do a great job playing within himself. That elite three shooting would have to make up for it and he would get many opportunities to hoist up 3s here.

Not great options all around.
