Something I'm starting to notice and I hope it's a thing that becomes the norm is, that Sexton seems to be benefitting hugely from the example that Rubio is setting.
Collin is nothing if not a sponge, soaking up everything he can from wherever he can get it. Sexton has been hearing about his own perceived lack of vision and playmaking ability, his inability to make players around him better, and accusations of himself being a ball-hog with blinders on.
Small sample size but the first few games I've been seeing a different player. He's been passing within the flow of the offense. He's been trying to attack and distribute both to the perimeter and to the paint.
I've only seen him go into hero mode at times when the offense was on a long dry spell, and when it seemed like no-one else could get a bucket (for the most part).
I see these as very positive developments and a very positive trend in a good direction, hopefully it will build and continue.
If so, that would only leave the defensive end as a legit knock on the kid.
