I'll start: Dallas is fucked I think. We don't know, but Doncic calf strain looks serious. Any kind of serious calf strain takes like two weeks to recover from.

This is why I HATE the long NBA season. You're constantly rolling the dice with your stars health. Playoffs are by far the best part of the NBA year, and the long season basically ensures that some marquee stars won't make it healthy. Why why why do that to yourself. Dallas played the whole year, had a great year, everything for this moment, and now they are fucked. And more important fans are fucked because Doncic is a guy you want to watch.

Insane how 2x MVP(hopefully) Nikola Jokic was drafted during a Taco Bell commercial

I’d really like someone to do a deep dive into how a guy who might be one of the greatest players of all time lasted to 41 in the draft. It’s not like he was totally raw either, he started 55 games his first year and by his second year he was averaging 17-10-5 (21-13-6 per 36) on a 64% true shooting percentage. At the age of 21. How come nobody but Denver had a clue about this guy? In the crawl below that commercial they aren’t even identifying him as one of the top four players remaining for the pick.

It's not widely known that Jokic was just 6'1'' at age 20 when he was playing for Mega Basket in Serbia, before the NBA draft. That's him on the left. The Nuggets took a chance on a small, unknown PG and ended up with a C when Jokic had the greatest late growth spurt of all time.

I'm not sleeping on Memphis. I think Milwaukee comes out.

I can’t believe anyone but Phoenix will win, tempted to put down a bet. Losing in the Finals with a young team and then roaring back the next year to win 64 games and have the best record in the league by far seems like a great preparation for a championship

Plus I believe they slow-walked Chris Paul’s injury recovery to have him in great shape for the playoffs…he’s shooting 64% and averaging 12 assists per game in the 7 games since he’s been back.

There will be some interesting series this year. West is for Phx to lose but I am tempted to take the field. I could see anyone from LAC (thru playin), GSW, Den, Mem, and Uta taking them out. East is similar for Mil imo. Miami is the top seed but they are not as scary. Boston could make a real run too. I dont believe in Philly.

Deep dive:

Have you ever *seen* the guy? I mean, actually looked at him as a person, physically. Have you seen him move? Watched his athletic testing? To think that a guy built like a refrigerator and the athletic ability of a rhinoceros would be an HoFer is a bit of a longshot.

I hope some of you watched Pat Beverley go full P. Bev to beat the Clippers.

Epic pest guard game. Delly is losing his shit somewhere.

Does Anthony edwards get talked about enough? Kids only 20 had a great season and now drops 30 in a do or die play in game
