2022 NBA Finals

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
Having Jimmy Butler as your "star" is pretty treadmilly . . .

Honestly I think Butler is playing injured, doesn’t seem like playoff Jimmy

Without him they got nobody, Bam is good but not Finals good

I feel like he's your #2 guy on a championship team. I'm not sorry at all for Philly that he and Embiid didn't work out . . .

Some of the worst playoffs I have ever seen….

NFL would never….

Embiid still hasn't been out of the 2nd round but hey, narratives and whatnot.

Haven’t watched this conference finals at all. Best series was nets and Celtics that’s about it. In the nfl mist playoff games are a treat. Nfl way superior than nba by a bug margin

Football has the advantage of fewer games and many more strategic variables due to larger team sizes. Basketball has many more games and only eight guys on a team who get significant playing time. It's always been my favorite of the major US team sports because of the free flowing artistry, but football is second. It has much more strategic variety while still being fast paced, relatively high scoring, and following a similar format (timed competition, horizontal movement toward a concrete goal). I don't follow baseball or hockey.

Okay. Let's start the odds for the Mavs winning in GSW on Thursday.

My personal opinion is they have a less than 10% chance. Say 20:1, 5% chance of winning.
That sounds about right. I was surprised they lost Tuesday and didn’t finish off the sweep.

NFL went through a stretch of blowout playoffs and (especially) blowout super bowls before we got into the great parity stretch we're in now. NBA had some great playoffs recently before this year -- notably I thought the bubble playoffs in 2020 were excellent. Could be kind of a coincidence that this year is so bad.

So Boston won critical game 5 on the road. I'd say they close it off in game 6.

Miami can't win if Herro literally isn't playing.

That was a given.

It's the style of basketball that is leading to this.

The Mavs/Suns went 7 and yet basically every single game was a blowout and a blowout early. That's becoming more and more normal. No close games even if the teams are evenly matched.

Just leads to a bad/boring product to watch.

Jesus CHrist he just airballed a wide open 3 by 2 feet.

I'm gonna need @RchfldCavRaised to come in here an apologize for selling me that Lowry was gonna be an important part of this team as they advanced in the playoffs.

He's DONE.

He’s injured, clearly. Hamstrings are the worst. He looks like Harden trying to play through a tweaked hamstring in last years playoffs.

I said they shouldn’t have played him in either of the first two series because they didn’t need him at all. Atlanta or Philly.

They panicked and rushed him back midway through Philly and shut him down again, and it’s possible the month off could have been just what that hammy needed.

Doesn’t help that both Jimmy and Herro are non factors as well.
