Bucks are in trouble.
Just a very flawed team without Middleton. It speaks to the greatness of Giannis that he's been able to drag them this far.
They have a bad player like Bobby Portis, a dumb energy PF, in way too big of a role – he should be a 7th guy for this team. Lopez has become unplayable in this series, and the corpse of Wes Matthews looks about a week away from retiring.
While I love Giannis and he's been magnificent, his drive-heavy style places a lot of pressure on the guys around him. If the other team is able to pack the paint, he doesn't have the space he needs for those giant euro steps and pivots and ends up plowing into traffic. Portis, Matthews, Allen & co haven't been making their outside shots, and that's a killer.
Another problem is that when Giannis sits, the Bucks have nobody to score inside. Lopez is useless and Portis & Matthews are taking turns getting their layups swatted. They both play smaller than their size because they have zero ups and bad length.
I think Boston takes this one. The Middleton injury was just a disaster for Milwaukee.
