I said that in the game thread last night. Their whole offense is just hoping two great shooters light it up. Not a recipe for consistency in the playoffs. They might win a series but they won’t get near a championship.

I think it was a huge mistake for them to trade Harden. He was the difference between them being a good team and a potentially great one. Yeah he was pouting and fucking up their team chemistry but I think he would likely have come around for the playoffs
You’re forgetting the great Ben Simmons.

As you should.

Last season, Jokic had the best offensive season by a big man in NBA history. This season he is having an even better season while being a net plus on defense AND carrying a team missing its 2nd and 3rd option all year to a solid playoff seed. His second best player most of the year is AG, who was an afterthought on the Magic a year and a half ago. His third best is Will Barton who is a solid 6th man, but not a starter. The man is the best passer in the NBA today and one of the best ever. He rebounds at the same level as some of the all time great bigs and does it on both sides. He is the best post player in the league right now with a strong power AND finesse game. He can shoot the hell out of the ball like he is some type of gigantic Ray Allen. He does it every way too, off pindowns, off the catch, step back, dribble into it. The guys is doing all of this while having insane efficiency (.661 TS% at the time of this post). And he is durable, only player to play every game last year and 74 games this season (with a few missed due to the Morris fight early in the season). This year he started quarterbacking the D and has turned into a legitimate rim protector. This is that all 99s center you build as a kid in 2k. Jokic is the best bigman to play the game and I fucking love having the opportunity to watch him.

Dont just take it from me, here is Ben Taylor from about halfway thru the year:

LeBron is my favorite player ever, but wanting to play with Luka and steph is so weak. Play with them in pick up games, but the best should always want to go against the best. That's why I love giannis.

Agree but in fairness, wouldnt you also want to play with Luka and especially Steph.

Toronto is 40 to 1 to win the East? That's an easy 100 bucks on that one.

Let's go upset the the Nets and then the Heat?? Haha.

Well, if we upset the Nets, we'll be the 7 seed and get the Bucks (or Celtics if the Celtics win tonight).

Could it be that Adebayo didn't get covid back in December when everyone on the Heat had it? He was out with the thumb injury and possibly not with the team

Boston's playing everyone vs Memphis g-leaguers, so the Celtics will get the 2 seed.

Looks like the East will be -

1 Miami vs 8 seed
4 Philly vs 5 Toronto

2 Boston vs Brooklyn/Cleveland
3 Milwaukee vs 6 Chicago
