That was extremely embarrassing for Cunningham.

That dude is not a #1 pick.

That's a big guard with zero explosiveness.

Like, would you pick Devin Booker #1 overall? Because that's the mold of player he's in and his ceiling.

Don't really see the comparison with Booker as he isn't a triple double threat. However, it looks like Cade will struggle with being efficient as a creator, especially when the defense keys on him. Switching theoretically should be efficient against him.

I like the dude though.

Stewart didn’t actually want any smoke. If he didn’t he would’ve went after LeBron when they were standing right across from each other instead of waiting until there were 20 people standing between them before acting like a lunatic.

Booker is an elite scorer though. Cade is inefficient, worse at passing Jason Kidd...

Would I pick a two time all star who led his team to the NBA Finals at the age of 24 #1 in the draft? Ummm, yes, I would?

Considering some of the busts we have seen as #1 picks Devin Booker would be fine

Go look at a bunch of drafts.

You'd struggle to find a single one where Devin Booker, even knowing what we know about him now, would go 1st.

You probably would struggle to find one where he'd go 2nd.

And that's after being in the league for 7 years with a whole bunch of seasoning coming off of a Finals run (where Chris PAul was the best player on the team fwiw...)

The idea here was that a player with Devin Booker as a ceiling doesn't go 1st in basically any draft.

Now, if you absolutely knew, w/o a doubt, that that player would HIT that ceiling, 100%? Then probably, because you're removing the chance of a bust.

But from a pure talent perspective, there's always guys in every draft w/ higher upside than that.

And Cade was definitely not the highest upside player in this draft. I'd say there's almost zero chance he ends up the best player from this draft.

There will be players, multiple, from this draft better than Devin Booker.

Very strong comparisons with the 2021 Lakers and the 2017-18 Cavs.

AD isn't even top 10 anymore which is crazy. Injuries took a toll on him? He's playing soft to avoid injury? His rim protection is non existent, I don't even see him blocking jumpshots like he used to. He's suppose to be in his prime, a dominant top 5 MVP candidate, carrying LeBron on the defensive end, but he's opposite. He's been a jump shooter this season.

LeBron had that same body language last night he had for IT, D Rose, Crowder, etc.

LeBron is at the point where he needs the best defense around him to succeed.
First thing that came to mind when I saw Lakers/Pistons.
Never mind that the Pistons were within a score.
The complete meltdown.

Booker averaged 28 ppg in last years Finals, and 27 ppg overall in the playoffs. That’s in his first playoffs ever at the age of 24. He played decent defense too. It’s just silly to say he doesn’t have #1 pick talent. I mean, I get that he’s not that efficient a scorer and there are many annoying things about his game. He’s not going to be a top 20 player in the history of the game or anything. But he’s very very good. The only way you wouldn’t be happy with him as a #1 pick is if you want to pontificate about what an ideal top pick would be in the abstract or something

He also tried getting ESPN to fire Michelle Beadle on the spot too, according to her own words.
Had that happened, I would have called LeBron, "LeGOAT". She gets on my nerves for similar reasons as Shitlock
