What’s with the Lakers all having single digit numbers?

Did LeBron switch back to #6 in the hopes of getting two numbers retired by the Lakers?

Lakers perimeter D is super suspect.

The Lakers have flaws that don't require the whole season to observe.

That being said, as much as some will want to bury them or mock them, I hope the realistic among us will at least acknowledge that a 15 man roster with 12 new players who weren't on the team last year is going to take a few weeks minimum to gel.

And not to overvalue these two, but both THT and Kendrick Nunn will do good things for that team this year and neither played tonight.

It was a pain watching Warriors shooting that bad in first 3 quarters, but it was even more painful to watch Lakers being that bad so they were score close to that bad Warriors.Dont need to say Lakers need time to fix their roster chemistry and bla bla bla, because Warriors are exactly in the same boat.Warriors are awfuly bad if you look by the names.Lakers this year is team full of curent or ex ego-maniacs like James,Westbrook,Howard,Melo,Rondo. They all need to be in the center of attention, but now due to James officially being a coach and GM in every team hes playing for, rest of the ego-maniacs must follow his rules. You could see AD and James again taking most of the shots and decision making, which is telling us it will be again team of two people, putting again that much pressure as they took last year.James still thinking he can grab all ex-stars on his team and win a champ, not realizing the league is different now, league belongs to the team that collecting their pieces wisely and slowly.

Westbrook goes 4-13 for 8 points with a big -23 plus minus in 35 minutes of play and singlehandedly tanks the Lakers against a mediocre Warriors team…LOL, how long until Lebron figures out that Russ is not good at winning basketball and a lousy fit and starts to pout?

Lebron and AD can play winning basketball, Russ not so much. Lakers should have traded for Buddy Hield instead. They wouldn’t even have had to trade their whole team to do it!

Thing is, the past couple of years the Lakers had a bunch of decent role players who defended hard and knew their role next to the Big Two. Caruso and so on. So they looked good when LBJ/Davis were healthy. They got rid of all those guys to go the 30-something washed up superstar route. Why?

Russ just isn't a good fit there as they needed a floor spacer. Losing to a Dubs team that didn't even have Klay isn't a good start.

Well we know it won't be Philly Cheese steak

Warriors played a great fourth and had superb passing finding the open players. Poole looked smooth and confident. Curry had a triple double, first since 2016, despite the uncharacteristically horrid shooting night.

I love Russ, but yeah, he was trash last night.

Russ is fun but he has repeatedly shown his poor efficiency limits team success and he can't carry teams all the way. Surprised Lebron, the ultimate basketball savant, didn't think about this. Maybe he sees something lots of others don't (he certainly knows a lot more about basketball than I do), but if Russ being Russ holds the Lakers back it's going to be a very entertaining soap opera watching how Lebron reacts.

My guess is that LeBron thought about that, but much like a coach with a giant ego, he probably figured he would be able to transform Russ into a more impactful player.

They got rid of all those guys
Exactly,I forgot to mention that too.I preferably liked guys like KCP,Kuzma and Harrell more than anyone they have got to replace them, because they were more d players and more team players.Thats again because James is playing GM role trying to toss the roster completely to (as he think) win now and always
