Anthony Schwartz - Former Brown

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
I miss NFLDraftCountdown (Breakdown?) whatever the site was that put all the film categorized under each prospect
DraftBreakdown. Site ruled, it was a sad day when it got fried.

I actually came upon old draft breakdown YouTube videos the other night when I was looking at linebackers to give me an idea of who JOK looked like in college. Big nostalgic vibes.

Yeah. Searching through Youtube is such a chore.

On the plus side, it sounds like we might have a paid version of NFL Game Pass for college within the next few years. The same company that does the GPS tracking is slowly starting to buy up rights from the different college conferences to put it all together.

The video indicates a few things..

Not about Schwartz..

Dixon is a terrible quarterback. I don't think he made 1 throw with his feet set.. missed at least two throws which were probably 6 points.

The auburn offensive coach has no creativity. They played Scwartz out of the slot mostly, with a lot of standing and waiting plays. That motion across the back field was completely ineffective but they kept at it. I think to make that work, Schwartz needs to sprint full speed across to create defense holes..they need to watch KC runn their version.

About Schwartz..

Not 100 percent effort on plays that did not involve him. Half assed a bunch. He needs to sell it if he is a decoy..

Dixon preferred 18 in the clutch.. why?

Seemed unable to use speed to get separation.

He gets good YAC, even in traffic. A lot harder to bring down than I expected at his size.. did not shy from contact..

his limited route tree will make it a little difficult to use him early on much but I think despite the desire to put him in the slot back up role he would be better off just running fly routes and getting reps as a returner in his rookie season maybe by year 2 or 3 he develops enough to play a more useful role. Sky is the limit though with that track speed

I don't think he will be as difficult to use as you think. He will be out there to spread the defense out so as long as he does that, I think he will be effective. We don't need him to be a 1000 yard receiver, we need him to help keep the double teams off of Odell/open another part of the field for someone else. We really don't know how he will be with a QB that has an OLine and doesn't have to scramble every second of his life on the field like Dixon was doing.

Lee strolling in on his high horse as if he he doesn’t like the occasional 4-minute cumpilation

Not on a dudes face, no.

Speaking of cumpilations, say hi to your mom for me.

One of the knocks against Schwartz was if he could get off the line against press coverage. He doesn't seem to have any problem against fairly high level SEC DBs. In that game he got lots of separation on lots of routes but wasn't targeted. That offense is a pure shit show.

I look forward to see what he can do in a real offense, with a real QB, after getting some good coaching and mentoring.

Nice watch, but he seems kind of fragile.
