2021 Buckeyes Football

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
If they hire him, does he coach in Fiesta, or Rose?
Be nice to be with Buckeyes and make some tweaks that Utah hasn't seen.

This would actually be great.

Getting a jumpstart on the scheme changes on defense would be incrediby beneficial - especially with the opener against Notre Dame looming.

So, only thing keeping me guarded is how is he as a recruiter? Having an A+ x's and o's guy will be a breath of fresh air after the last two seasons, but is he just a better version of Alex Grinch?

Would love to keep Coombs on in a recruiting role if possible.

Sadly I think Coombs is probably the one taking the hit here… but we’ll see.

Great hire regardless.

Coombs was a good DB coach and is a great recruiter. Would be nice if we would take the demotion in-house, but I don’t see it happening.

The question marks on the coaching staff probably causing a whimper of a finish to the 2022 class, unfortunately. Sounds like we’re out on Branch and Nwankpa.

5 star safety Sonny Styles is reclassifying from 2023 to 2022, he could make an instant impact next year on the defense

He's not enrolling until June and just turned 17. He's certainly not your typical 17 year old, but not enrolling in January is going to put him behind the eight-ball. It's expecting too much of him to be an instant impact defender.

I am sure a lot of kids are going to do this. They can start getting paid one year earlier.

Terrance Brooks flips to Texas and leaves OSU with 17 signings today. Problem is that Brooks is a CB and the biggest misses in this class are in the secondary, where they can least afford it.

Texas offered him a bag. Same with Ewers. They can’t develop talent and win so they just resort to their oil salesmen boosters to buy it for them. NIL sucks. At the very least needs reformed before it ruins college football.

Yep. Many predicted this but some didn’t want to listen. It’s the wild fucking west with NIL. Texas is now targeting Abor who is crystal balled to OSU, as well. This is your new reality, enjoy.

I assume it’ll be reined in after a few years of utter chaos, we’ll see.

I think the cat is out of the bag. The NIL principle has been recognized to the point where I do not believe it can be unwound. Probably should be renamed BOC (Bags O Cash) at this point, but it's here to stay.
