2021 Buckeyes Football

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
Which QB prospect you like the most?

Seems like Stroud is the guy to beat right now. If Vegas had odds, I’d guess he edges Miller there at present.

Having not seen any of these guys get many reps since HS, tough to say where they’re at.

Biggest off-season of their lives is about to begin, might actually have a spring game worth watching.

Color me shocked if even Pantoni is staying. Good though.

I still don’t get job you hire Pantoni for if you’re an NFL team
His whole job at Ohio State revolves around player personnel and scouting. He could have easily taken some sort of role in football operations under Meyer.

Oh, like you could hire him as a normal scout and some sort of low level player person guy.

He makes like 800k at OSU. An equivalent job in the NFL is like a GM level job. No way he’s qualified for that.

Any NFL he’s qualified for would require a massive paycut.

Was thinking Hartline. But could be someone lesser known.

I've heard either Corey Dennis (QB coach - Urban's son in law) or Ryan Stamper (assistant athletic director for player development - played at Florida when Urban was there).

I don't see Hartline leaving the Bucks to go there. Yeah, Urban promoted him after the Zach Smith scandal, but Hartline has gone on record in calling Ryan Day the best coach in football. Those two seem to be in lockstep.

Coombs and Mattison both have NFL experience. Hartline played in the NFL relatively recently. I think 1 of those 3 is by far the most likely. I pray it isn't Hartline.

I thought I read Mattison is likely to retire. Hartline would be a crushing blow. Coombs he can have LOL. It would be shitty for Marcus Freeman to do but I’d love to get him to flip from ND to the Buckeyes.

Is anybody wishing Meyer fails?

Now that it looks like he's basically leaving OSU alone, I hope he does well. Or least I certainly don't hope he fails. Not that I'd root for him to beat the Browns, but I definitely don't hold any ill will towards him.

Some Florida fans HATED him after he took the OSU job. Now, very different circumstances in some regards. This time he stayed retired an extra year and OSU is way better off with Day and any post Meyer Florida coach so far. Plus, we're not shocked he got back in.

Yeah, since he left OSU alone, I'll be rooting for him. Plus, the Jags are kinda harmless. If he went to a division rival of the Browns or went to another blue blood in CFB I wouldn't root for him.

I still do kind of eye roll a bit at the inoperable health issue thing and "I'm retired and staying retired" stuff, how he found a passion with FOX and his admin role at OSU, and Shelly vehemently opposing him ever coaching again. None of it really seems genuine. Kind of like LeBron's "I'm never leaving here again" stuff when he came back to Cleveland. But it's not my life though and $12 million a year is hard to turn down I'm sure.
