Do Not Sell My Personal Information
Does Sermon have eligibility left?

Sermon did great things in two important games. That said, he has an injury history including at the end of this shortened season. If we are dependent on him to win then we will ultimately come up short. I'll cherish what he accomplished though.

It should be noted that, despite facing injuries, Fields never missed a game (right?) and only lost twice (once when we got screwed and once when we didn't have a chance). I loved watching him and I'll never forget the way he performed in the Sugar Bowl. It was not in the cards tonight but I hope he goes on to a successful NFL career. He wasn't a big personality, but I thought he was very fun to watch, the best combo of passer/rushing QB we've had yet. And those big shots to Olave... god, so good.

Excited to see what Day does next. For as much as some may choose to dwell on the end note, we battled through the COVID season and outdid our 2019 season. Maybe next year we bring home the big trophy, or maybe that waits for this upcoming batch of croots to grow up, but it's still great to be a Buckeyes fan.

Can't wait to pulverize Michigan again, I regret that more than today's loss.

Let’s not forget the 2 previous seasons, Bama missed the playoffs and lost in the title game by 28.

Last years loss was way more painful. That team was stacked everywhere.

Beating Clemson was big. No reason not to give us the benefit of the doubt, now.

Interesting to see how spring football actually works. Bama and Clemson also have to replace their QBs, so we’re all in the same boat. Fox the back 7 and we’ll be really good.

Great year. Beat Michigan. O-H

So obviously Fields, Davis and Olave are gone.

I would assume Wade is gone, but maybe he tries to rehab his value?

Josh Myers is an unknown. We have solid depth at OLine, but we’d be a real good shape if he returned.

I think that’s it in terms of “early” enrollees.

As a Michigan fan on the outside looking in, I think a lot of you guys are way too hard on your program.

I know it is frustrating to lose games like this but I think OSU has incrementally improved, which is really saying something, relative to the success of the program.

The Clemson game seemed like a step forward to me.....and exhibited a lot of grit and toughness, something I think OSU has lacked sometimes in these bigger games. If they can show more of that moving forward, they’ll be fine.

Today, they just ran in to two things......a great coach and a truly transcendent player. I know people like to exaggerate and get caught in the moment but I’n not sure I have ever seen a college receiver, who so effortlessly makes great athletes look average. Smith is a guy you see once in 20 years in a game like that and you just tip your cap and move on.

You got to the the National title game with a second year head coach and a bunch of stuff working against you. I think casting all that success away, like beating a program with Clemson’s pedigree, is just putting too much in to a single game.

Fields, Sermon, Davis and Olave all leaving,

We’ll see on some of the lesser knowns.

I think Rucker and Myers go.

I'll give Coombs a pass for this year due to COVID but with the recruiting classes we have coming in over the next few years, we better be elite on both sides of the ball.

We just have to hope that we play the best people available. I don't mind using Srs that are producing and using them as useful rotation pieces, but if there are younger guys that deserve playing time then they should get a shot. Tough to judge Coombs on shortened first year, losing 2 dbs to criminal activities, shortened spring and fall sessions, thought we weren't going to play, only playing a truncated schedule, having people in and out of covid protocols so losing even more time/reps, and getting bested by a clearly better team.

I wouldn't be against getting a younger guy to replace mattison as co-dc, that has more knowledge/use of cover 1/3 def vs the cover 2/4 that Coombs is more familiar with if they plan to keep the defense that Halfley brought it before he left.
