2021 Draft Lottery

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
FWIW according to Fedor's twitter, the Cavs liked Grimes and Hyland who both got picked at the tail end of the first round. Not sure if they have interest in anyone else left on the board though.

I've said this before, Nance looked great as a small forward. He just had to slide over to PF often to cover for Love, and then ended up missing just about as many games as Kevin The Golden Calf.

I'm still hoping Windler can regain confidence in his shot. In college, he believed every jumper was going to go in. I haven't seen that since his injury.
And he's not going to have to help Mobley on D.

You can bet they'll get some undrafted guys and they have found some potential rotational guys the past few years with Wade and Stevens.

I wouldn't be shocked if the price is right if they get a 2nd rounder. But I don't expect them to get a pick.

Gilbert already paid out of pocket to get the Rubio trade done. I don't know if he is going back to the checkbook for a second rounder.

Plenty of intriguing undrafted guys will be out there for two-way contracts.

At this rate Sharife Cooper could go undrafted.

Maybe he wants to save some cash for a Love buyout.
I just can't imagine him on the roster next season.

What they spent to get Rubio also limits the amount they can spend to try to trade for a 2nd rdr. Not sure how much that cash limit is this year. It was $5.6m a cpl years ago, so probably enough after they spent $2.5m.

We still have 9 future 2nd round picks. If a team is selling a pick, I'm sure they will take a pick back instead of money.

I would take a swing at BJ Boston or Aaron Wiggins. I like Joel Ayayi as potential long term 3rd guard. He can handle the ball but moves real well off the ball.

The Cavs have a great track record with 2 way contracts, especially recently.

Did they give Wade a 2 way immediately after the draft? I know they gave one out quickly in the past but usually they are slow to give them. I would like to see them give both out quickly and snatch up two guys. Waiting till guys play in summer league allow guys to get taken by other teams.

Pretty shocked to see Sharife Cooper & BJ Boston in free fall. I understand Cooper is undersized, and I didn't really love him when he was projected top-10 or lottery, and Boston was generally just bad this season, but from a pure talent perspective, these guys are much better than late second round talents.
