2021 March Madness

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
EJ needs to step up and hit one at the end of regulation, it changes the game.

9-18 from the line isn’t going to cut it in March. We all knew this team had a clunker in them, didn’t think it would happen in the 1st round. They deserved to lose.

just atrocious FT shooting. Drives me fucking crazy. Most maddening thing in basketball.

The team missing FTs at the end of time is pretty on point. They, as a group, choke down the stretch regularly.

I do expect more from the team than losing in round 1 to Oral Roberts. Don't think asking for a yearly 2nd round visit is too much.

Pretty damn frustrating game.

Washington playing like an idiot down the stretch.

Jallow being awful all game.

Everyone missing free throws.

Just terrible.

Amazing how much of an impact Kyle Young had on this team.

Anyone get bounced in survivor?

Only 100 left in my 255 person pool.

Largely thanks to Purdue, Tennessee and OSU.

I didn't know Jackie Moon played for Eastern Washington.

Maybe the Big Ten just kinda sucked???

They also just absolutely murdered each other in conference play, culminating in an overly physical (and largely worthless) conference tourney in which teams like Illinois played three games in three days against tough teams.

Not exactly doing their teams any favors.

There is truth there, but look at Illinois for instance. The non-conference.

Their big win was against #10 Duke.

Well, turns out, Duke wasn't good.

They got beaten pretty easily by Baylor, lost to Missouri, and beat Ohio by 2. Their other 2 non-con games were against total nobodies.

So almost all of their resume is built on conference games. That's true of most of the teams, outside of Gonzaga.

But then you wonder why the Big Ten was given so much respect and a conference like the Pac-12, wasn't. It was all mostly just conference games.

So now I'm looking at this and I'm thinking a team like Oregon was probably way underseeded and Iowa is in trouble tomorrow.

EDIT: Just more on this: Michigan played absolutely nobody in the non-conference. Not one team they played made the tourney.

Iowa played a decent non-con schedule. Beat UNC (who did make the tourney) and got beaten rather badly by Gonzaga. I know the score ended up only 10 or 11, but I watched that game and they were down by 30 at one point.

BTW espn.com is basically useless.

They have the scores of the women's tourney on the top scroll. When you click the arrow to put the scores of the mens tourney up there, it's not there.

So, essentially, because they don't carry any of it it must not be important lol.

Yikes Big Ten. Now to watch Baylor wreck Wisconsin.

Yea I would not be surprised if Iowa is out tomorrow.

Oregon won the Pac-12 conference and got seeded 7. That's a rough 2nd match-up for a 2 seed lol.

Loyola til i die. Sister Jean for President!

:chuckle:
