Thanks @sportscoach it seems like only the prospect361 one is also taking the whole season into account and it seems fairly ludicrous. Battenfield #4, OGon #14... and Espino all the way down to #10? Yeah I don't see Espino halfway between Battenfield and OGon.
In Noah's (as his brother calls him - maybe we should too?) defense, he is still young (turning 22 in Feb.) and has been pushed, not coddled. But lack of improvement in 2022 will be legitimate cause of concern.

His numbers in 2021 were pretty terrible the K's and lack of hits specifically and definitely "worse" than his 2019 season. Not the stuff you want to see, and if/when I make list at some point, he might not make the top 10.

Yeah I guess I have trouble seeing him behind Noel/Tena/Palacios/etc if only because they are showing some kind of promise at a similar young age or in the case of Richie, looking close to MLB ready. I would've thought both he and Lavastida would be in the 11-15 range below that group.

The more I think about it, Noel has to be a top 10 guy now. Tena is close too and I think I'd rank him one spot above Angel Martinez.

What should be a lot of fun to follow and make things interesting is how many of the top guys aren't in A ball and below. Most will be in AA/AAA to start 2022 (several on the 40 man already) and the performers will have a chance to make it the show, even if it's only for a second as the season closes out.

Also agreed Espino at #10 is ridiculous, he has never been that low. Maybe they got him and Battenfield accidentally switched around.

Edit. "His high-effort delivery..." - Um WTF are they talking about? - I don't like how long/high his right leg/foot dangles after release but i know jack about pitching mechanics.

@jup - Hey Jup - have you seen Espino pitch? There are several vids on YouTube. Mind chiming in here if you get the chance? Your analysis is always well thoughtout and appreciated.

Here's one:

I often check rankings and Lavastida was outside of the top 30 on almost everyone's board before the season started and now he is situated between 13-24 depending on which place it is. Bo Naylor has always been top 6-8 on every ranking and hasn't really changed since. Essentially outside of the forums, Lavastida wasn't in high regard anywhere before the season started. He was drafted as a SS/3B.. Lavastida has a 1000 innings at C between college (1 college start I believe) and the minors. He was a bench player when we drafted him as well in college so he wasn't really known in college.. Naylor has 1500 innings and he is the younger of the two players...

Also you always have to take the rankings with a grain of salt... Civale was ranked higher than Bieber as an SP and they didn't have Civale being able to be a big league starter... and Plesac I only knew about cause of the solid season he had the year before his debut. He wasn't even on anyone's board. Kwan still isn't on any top 30 board which kind of sad from the fact he had better minor league numbers than Bauers ever did...

I think Kwan will be top 20 maybe 15ish in lists like Fangraphs. I guess we will see about that one. The lists you posted were mostly midseason so they don't really count. Same with Lavastida but the fact that he plays a strong defensive position with an existent bat makes me think he actually might deserve higher.

I feel like lists in general are resistant to change because people would rather be wrong about a high pedigree guy failing that they have ranked high than someone who sorta came out of nowhere.

Like we have Bo at #7. Let's say he fizzles out and never makes it to the majors. BA isn't really going to get flak for that even if they should.
